• • This is a pivotal role for a skilled Power BI Specialist to take ownership and drive the evolution of a dynamic business intelligence platform. You will be instrumental in transforming complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights that empower data-driven decision-making across a growing, multi-entity organization. Your expertise will directly impact strategic planning, performance monitoring, and operational clarity for Finance, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Product teams.
• • You will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and strategic extension of an existing Power BI environment. This includes meticulously managing advanced data models, developing and optimizing extensive DAX measures for critical business metrics, and ensuring the reliability of automated data refresh pipelines. Your work will be the backbone of the organization's analytical capabilities, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and accessibility of high-quality data.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve maintaining and enhancing existing Power BI dashboards. This includes critical reporting tools such as the Executive Summary, Daily Sales dashboards, and the Business Health Monitor. You will ensure these dashboards are not only up-to-date but also performant and accurately reflect the current state of the business.
• • You will be tasked with writing and optimizing complex DAX measures. These measures will cover a wide range of analytical needs, including in-depth revenue analysis, detailed budget vs. actuals variance reporting, subscription health tracking, and the development of predictive metrics to forecast future performance. Your DAX skills will be crucial in unlocking the full potential of the data.
• • As business needs evolve, you will proactively build new reports and visualizations. This requires a keen understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate them into effective and insightful visual representations of data.
• • Ensuring the integrity and reliability of data refresh processes is paramount. You will be responsible for monitoring these processes, identifying any pipeline failures, and implementing swift and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure data availability.
• • Data modeling and integration are central to this role. You will maintain a robust star schema dimensional model, ensuring a clear and logical separation between fact and dimension tables. This structured approach is key to efficient querying and reporting.
• • You will integrate data from a variety of critical sources, including Recurly, Salesforce, Teachable, QuickBooks, and NetSuite (following its implementation). This requires a strong understanding of data connectors and ETL processes.
• • Developing sophisticated Power Query (M) transformations will be essential for data cleansing, normalization, and shaping the data into a usable format for analysis. You will ensure data quality and consistency.
• • Comprehensive documentation is a key deliverable. You will meticulously document field mappings, transformation logic, and all business rules applied to the data, ensuring transparency and maintainability of the data models.
• • You will foster strong cross-functional partnerships. This includes collaborating closely with the Finance team to develop and refine budget vs. actuals reporting, variance analysis, and revenue recognition metrics.
• • Support will be provided to the Marketing team for crucial attribution analysis and campaign performance reporting, enabling them to optimize their strategies.
• • A significant part of your role will involve translating complex business questions into well-defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurable analytics, providing concrete answers to strategic inquiries.
• • You will play a vital role in empowering end-users by training them on self-service reporting capabilities, fostering a data-literate culture within the organization.
