📋 Description
- • As a Presales Engineer (French Speaker) at Twilio, you will be instrumental in driving technical wins and ensuring product fit for our diverse customer base across the EMEA region. You will operate at the intersection of technology and business, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and a key technical resource for our sales teams. This role demands a unique blend of deep technical expertise and exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to engage effectively with both C-level executives and hands-on technical decision-makers.
- • You will collaborate closely with Twilio's New Business Account Executives, fellow Solutions Engineers, Professional Services teams, and Twilio Partners. Your primary objective will be to strategize and plan for successful deal closures, ensuring that Twilio's innovative communications solutions are positioned effectively to meet customer needs.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to build strong, successful business partnerships with Account Executives. This involves conducting thorough business discovery sessions with prospects to uncover their unique challenges and objectives, and then articulating the tangible business value that Twilio's platform can deliver.
- • You will actively participate in all stages of the sales cycle alongside Account Executives. This includes qualification calls, in-depth discovery meetings, compelling product demonstrations, managing Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), creating detailed design documentation, delivering impactful technical presentations, and conducting enablement sessions for clients.
- • Developing and maintaining deep subject matter expertise on customer needs and requirements within the EMEA market is crucial. Simultaneously, you will cultivate an in-depth understanding of Twilio's best-in-class communications technology, staying abreast of new features and advancements.
- • You will lead technical discovery sessions with customers, employing insightful questioning to uncover their specific business needs and technical challenges. Based on this understanding, you will articulate how Twilio's capabilities can directly enable their success and provide solutions to their most pressing problems.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve building and delivering powerful, tailored presentations and complex product demonstrations. These sessions are designed to vividly showcase the extensive capabilities of Twilio's Communications Products and inspire customers with the possibilities.
- • You will develop a comprehensive understanding of each customer's business landscape, identifying not only solutions to their stated problems but also uncovering latent areas of opportunity for growth and innovation.
- • Building trusted advisor relationships at the highest levels within our customer organizations is paramount. You will be expected to present creative, forward-thinking solutions and architectures that empower customers to innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
- • Beyond direct customer engagement, you will contribute to the broader Twilio Solutions Engineering community. This involves actively sharing your knowledge, developing reusable demo assets, and creating compelling presentations that can be leveraged by your colleagues across the globe.

🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical pre-sales role within the CPaaS, SaaS, or Telecommunications sectors.
- • Proven understanding of the sales cycle and the critical role of a pre-sales engineer in driving deal success.
- • Solid grasp of voice protocols (VoIP), SIP implementations, or messaging APIs.
- • Demonstrated ability to ask insightful questions to deeply understand customer needs and guide them towards effective technical solutions using Twilio Communications products.
- • Fluency in both written and spoken French is essential for engaging with a significant portion of our customer base.
- • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and cloud application architectures.
- • Proficiency in backend development (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, or PHP) and/or web development (JS, React), including experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
