- • Provide evidence-based psychiatric care to children, teens, and young adults via live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-up sessions.
- • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to diagnose mental health conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans.
- • Manage medications for pediatric and adolescent patients, including prescribing, monitoring efficacy, and adjusting dosages as clinically indicated.
- • Deliver culturally-responsive care that acknowledges and respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of patients and their families.
- • Engage families and caregivers as essential partners in the treatment process to support holistic patient outcomes.
- • Utilize Lyra’s AI-powered platform, Lyra Empower, to streamline clinical workflows, access patient records, and refer patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching services.
- • Maintain adherence to ethical standards and clinical best practices in all patient interactions and documentation.
- • Participate in ongoing clinical consultation and training opportunities provided by Lyra to enhance diagnostic expertise and treatment effectiveness.
- • Operate as a 1099 contractor through Lyra Clinical Associates, with autonomy over scheduling while benefiting from Lyra’s provider platform for administrative support.
- • Serve as part of a national network of in-person and virtual providers delivering mental health care to over 20 million people through employer and health plan partnerships.
- • Contribute to Lyra’s mission of improving access to mental health care by ensuring patients receive care within one day of request.
- • Focus exclusively on clinical care responsibilities, with Lyra handling patient acquisition, scheduling, billing, and marketing to reduce administrative burden.
- • Work with patients from varied socioeconomic, racial, ethnic, and neurodiverse backgrounds, ensuring inclusive and individualized treatment approaches.
- • Collaborate with therapists and coaches within Lyra’s ecosystem to coordinate integrated care plans that combine medication management with behavioral interventions.
- • Maintain compliance with all state licensing and prescribing regulations applicable to your practice location in Elkton, Maryland.
- • Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within Lyra’s secure digital platform to support continuity of care and clinical outcomes tracking.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland
- • Current DEA registration and state prescribing authority for controlled substances
- • Board certification or eligibility in psychiatric-mental health nursing (PMHNP) or psychiatry (PA)
- • Experience providing psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and young adults
- • Valid malpractice insurance coverage
- • Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records
