- • As a Senior Principal Biostatistician at Biogen, you will lead study design and data analysis for clinical development programs, providing critical statistical expertise that directly impacts the success of therapeutic products across multiple therapeutic areas, including late-stage transplantation and early-indication research.
- • You will act as an independent statistical authority, shaping protocol development, overseeing analysis plans and report specifications, ensuring randomization integrity and CRF quality, and leading biostatistical efforts to deliver accurate, regulatory-ready clinical study reports.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading biostatistics representation on project teams, defining statistical methodologies, analyzing complex clinical data, training and supervising contract and FSP statisticians, addressing statistical issues in regulatory and legal contexts, serving as an internal peer reviewer and consultant, conducting modeling and simulations, collaborating with data managers, programmers, and medical writers, and mentoring junior staff to elevate team capability.
- • You will join a dedicated Biostatistics team reporting to the Director of Biostatistics, working within a mission-driven organization committed to developing life-changing therapies for neurological and rare diseases, where your statistical leadership directly supports scientific innovation and patient outcomes.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in advanced statistical modeling, regulatory strategy, and cross-functional leadership, while mentoring the next generation of biostatisticians and contributing to process improvements that enhance the efficiency and quality of Biogen’s clinical development pipeline.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in Biostatistics or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- • Thorough understanding of statistical principles and clinical trial methodology, including experience with regulatory guidelines for statistical analysis in drug development.
- • Proficiency in R, SAS, or other statistical software programming languages, with the ability to perform complex analyses, modeling, and simulations.
- • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
