Principal Engineer, Identity & Engagement

📋 Description

• • As a Principal Engineer, Identity & Engagement at Dropbox, you will drive the technical direction and execution of core services that power Dropbox’s product ecosystem, including identity and access, engagement and insights platforms, foundational APIs, and cross-product services that underpin user onboarding to AI-powered workflows.
• • Day to day, you will define and drive the technical roadmap for platform services, lead multi-quarter modernization efforts, design and improve authentication and authorization systems, build engagement signals and telemetry pipelines, create reusable platform primitives, partner with product, design, security, and infrastructure teams, own end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, and mentor senior engineers while elevating engineering standards across the organization.

• • In this role, you will shape the architectural evolution of foundational systems, influence org-wide technical strategy, improve system reliability and observability, and deliver high-impact platform capabilities used across Dropbox, while mentoring engineers and raising the technical bar for the entire engineering organization.
