Principal Engineer, Identity & Engagement

📋 Description

• • As a Principal Engineer, Identity & Engagement at Dropbox, you will drive the technical direction and execution of core services that power Dropbox’s product ecosystem, including identity and access, engagement and insights platforms, foundational APIs, and cross-product services that underpin user onboarding and AI-powered workflows.
• • Day to day, you will define and drive the technical roadmap for identity and engagement platform services, lead multi-quarter modernization efforts, design and improve authentication and authorization systems, build engagement signals and telemetry pipelines, create reusable platform primitives, partner with product, design, security, and AI/ML teams, own end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives, and mentor senior engineers while elevating engineering standards across the organization.
• • You will join a team at Dropbox focused on strengthening Identity & Engagement as a foundational platform to accelerate AI-driven innovation and deeper customer value, working closely with engineering leaders, product, design, security, and infrastructure teams to modernize systems, improve reliability and developer velocity, and unlock smarter user experiences.
