📋 Description

• Spearhead AI innovation by researching, evaluating, and prototyping cutting-edge solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, and other advanced techniques to solve complex data extraction challenges from millions of unstructured documents and multimedia files daily.
• Architect and build robust, highly scalable, and cost-effective AI services and data processing pipelines that serve as the backbone for processing millions of documents with high reliability and throughput.
• Tackle real-world production AI challenges including managing LLM latency and variance, developing sophisticated prompt engineering strategies, and building fault-tolerant, defensive systems that ensure consistent performance under high load.
• Act as the chief technical authority and foundational pillar for the Content portfolio, shaping the future of content intelligence within the company by pioneering solutions for document ingestion, classification, entity extraction, and image search.
• Drive mission-critical AI initiatives from concept to production, serving as a key technical mentor and thought leader for the engineering team without direct authority, influencing engineering direction across multiple teams.
• Design and implement large-scale distributed systems with deep expertise in asynchronous patterns, streaming/queuing/caching strategies, and robust observability through logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
• Build and scale production-grade backend services using modern frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Spring Boot, ensuring high availability, performance, and maintainability in a cloud-native environment.
• Translate abstract AI research into production-ready systems that handle real-world data variability, noise, and scale, with a focus on practical deployment over theoretical experimentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical strategy with product goals, ensuring that AI-driven insights from unstructured content directly enhance customer value and platform capabilities.
• Maintain a relentless focus on system reliability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence while continuously improving the platform’s ability to extract intelligent insights from diverse content types including equity research, filings, transcripts, and expert calls.

🎯 Requirements

• 14+ years of professional software engineering experience with a proven track record of building complex, data-intensive backend systems
• Deep expertise (8+ years) in building and scaling production-grade services using modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Spring Boot
• Mastery in designing large-scale distributed systems with strong knowledge of asynchronous patterns, streaming/queuing/caching strategies, and robust observability (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to articulate complex technical concepts and influence engineering direction across teams without direct authority
