📋 Description
- • As Principal Forward Deployed Software Engineer at PhysicsX Limited, you will lead the technical delivery of AI-driven simulation software solutions for high-impact customer projects across aerospace, defense, energy, semiconductors, and automotive industries, ensuring engineering excellence and measurable outcomes.
- • You will own technical delivery plans, translate business objectives into roadmaps with milestones and dependencies, embed with customer teams to drive adoption of production deployments, and lead onboarding, change management, and workflow integration across global sites.
- • You will build and mentor the Forward Deployed Software Engineering team in London, setting standards for software engineering practices and codifying customer-developed solutions into the core product offering.
- • You will travel 3-4 weeks per quarter to customer sites in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania to collaborate on-site, scope new projects, and support customer acquisition, while working with a flat hierarchy that encourages innovation and challenges to the status quo.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience building and leading engineering teams from the ground up with a track record of delivering outcomes through technical project management and extreme ownership.
- • Strong foundation in software engineering, API design, and deploying applications to production, with comfort working across the full stack.
- • Background in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred due to the high complexity of engineering domains served.
- • Demonstrated ability to immerse in customer workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and solve complex engineering problems at pace in aerospace, defense, energy, semiconductors, or automotive industries.
- • Willingness and ability to travel internationally for 3-4 weeks per quarter to customer sites in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
