📋 Description

• • Architect and ship the foundational features of an AI-powered operating system that will redefine how the $2 trillion engineering-services industry collaborates, designs, and delivers complex hardware products. You will own the full lifecycle—from whiteboard sketches to production-grade React Native and web applications—while embedding cutting-edge agentic AI into every workflow.
• • Lead the design and implementation of our first autonomous AI agents, orchestrating LLM calls, vector stores, and real-time data pipelines to automate engineering tasks such as requirements parsing, CAD generation, BOM validation, and supplier sourcing. Your code will be the benchmark for how AI agents interact with human experts in safety-critical, export-controlled environments.
• • Establish scalable, secure, and observable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) that supports multi-tenant workloads, sub-second inference latency, and SOC-2-grade security. You will define IaC patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/alerting standards that the rest of the engineering team inherits.
• • Pair daily with our AI research team to translate the latest academic breakthroughs (chain-of-thought prompting, tool-calling agents, retrieval-augmented generation) into robust product features. You will run A/B experiments, fine-tune prompts, and optimize token economics to keep unit costs low while delighting users.
• • Build real-time collaboration primitives—multiplayer cursors, conflict-free replicated data types (CRDTs), and live design reviews—so distributed engineering teams can co-edit specifications, drawings, and simulations as seamlessly as Figma users edit pixels.
• • Instrument every layer of the stack with product analytics, tracing user journeys from mobile tap to AI inference to business outcome. You will surface insights that directly inform roadmap priorities and demonstrate 10× productivity gains to pilot customers.
• • Champion engineering excellence by authoring internal RFCs, conducting rigorous code reviews, and mentoring early-career engineers. Your documentation and testing standards will become the template for a team that grows from 4 to 40 engineers over the next 24 months.
• • Collaborate directly with Re Build’s portfolio of 20+ engineering subsidiaries, embedding with customer teams one week and synthesizing their pain points into backlog items the next. You will see your features battle-tested on aerospace, defense, mobility, and biotech programs within days of release.
• • Contribute to open-source libraries and publish technical blogs that establish Re Build as a thought leader in applied AI for manufacturing. Speaking at meetups and conferences is encouraged and funded.
• • Prepare the codebase and team for a potential spin-out scenario: modular monolith → microservices, single-tenant → multi-tenant, startup compliance → enterprise-grade. Your architectural decisions today will determine how fast we can scale to 1,000+ active engineering firms tomorrow.
