Principal Fullstack Engineer (EMEA, Remote)

📋 Description

• • As a Principal Fullstack Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of decentralized cloud infrastructure by leading the migration from monolithic systems to modern, scalable Single Page Applications (SPAs), directly enabling a sovereign, energy-efficient alternative to traditional cloud providers.
• • You will drive end-to-end technical ownership of fullstack applications, combining deep expertise in React and Node.js with architectural vision to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability across the platform.
• • Lead the design and development of scalable fullstack applications using React (SPA) and Node.js, ensuring alignment with product goals and infrastructure constraints.
• • Own and drive monolith-to-SPA migration strategies, including incremental decomposition, API design, frontend re-architecture, and seamless integration with backend services.
• • Define and enforce frontend and backend architecture, patterns, and best practices, establishing engineering standards that elevate team output and system quality.
• • Act as technical lead for the fullstack domain: reviewing designs, mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
• • Collaborate closely with product, DevOps, and platform teams to align application architecture with decentralized bare-metal infrastructure, optimizing for latency, throughput, and resource efficiency.
• • Design and maintain backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) with a focus on performance, reliability, observability, and long-term maintainability under high-scale workloads.
• • Improve application observability, performance, and resilience through proactive monitoring, tracing, and optimization initiatives.
• • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and growing senior engineering talent, contributing to team capability and cultural growth.
• • Drive technical decision-making with a long-term platform mindset, balancing innovation with pragmatism in fast-moving, product-driven environments.
