- • Principal, Marketplace Solutions is a senior individual contributor role focused on scaling Built’s Marketplace to capture a larger share of lender spend on CRE inspections and pre-close diligence services, linking strategy and execution to drive revenue and trust.
- • Day to day, the role involves enabling sales teams with subject-matter expertise and assets, negotiating vendor partnerships and SLAs, leading cross-functional programs across Sales, Product, Ops, and Marketing, and independently driving ambiguous initiatives to build scalable operating systems.

- • The person can learn to lead complex marketplace initiatives, design scalable vendor ecosystems, influence product roadmaps, and achieve OKRs in a regulated, high-impact environment while building trust with lenders and vendors.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8–12+ years in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) diligence/inspections, pre-close diligence services, or services-based vendor network platforms
- • Demonstrated ownership of a third-party provider ecosystem, including recruiting, onboarding, credentialing, compliance, and designing performance standards (quality, SLA, turnaround time)
- • Direct experience working with or selling into lenders, with a clear understanding of diligence procurement, vendor selection drivers, and common friction points (quality, consistency, compliance)
- • Proven field-facing credibility: partnering with Sales as a subject-matter expert, joining complex/executive customer conversations, and influencing buying decisions
- • Commercial negotiation experience: developing rate cards/pricing models, negotiating SLAs, and balancing vendor economics with marketplace margin and scalability goals
- • Strong cross-functional operating experience with Product (tooling/workflows), Operations (onboarding/payments/quality), and Finance/Legal (contracts/compliance frameworks)
- • Willingness to travel up to 30-50%
