  • • Own the full enterprise sales cycle for Cognition’s AI software agents, including prospecting, demos, negotiation, closing, and customer activation across early-stage and enterprise technology organizations.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for C-suite executives, AI/technical leaders, procurement, and legal stakeholders within target accounts, navigating complex, multi-layered buying committees.
  • • Develop and execute tailored strategies for identifying, qualifying, and converting enterprise prospects by aligning Devin’s capabilities with specific technical pain points in software engineering workflows.
  • • Act as a bridge between customers and internal product/engineering teams, systematically collecting and amplifying detailed feedback on product usage, limitations, and feature requests to inform product roadmap decisions.
  • • Identify and articulate new use cases for Devin within customer organizations, uncovering opportunities for adoption beyond initial pilot teams to expand enterprise-wide deployment.
  • • Generate consistent pipeline growth by leveraging deep technical understanding to position Devin as a mission-critical tool for engineering teams focused on automation, scalability, and productivity.
  • • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to shorten sales cycles, refine messaging, and accelerate market adoption of Cognition’s AI-native development platform.
  • • Conduct product demonstrations and technical deep dives that address nuanced software engineering challenges, including code generation, debugging, CI/CD integration, and AI-assisted development workflows.
  • • Maintain rigorous pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and deal progression metrics to ensure transparency and alignment with company revenue goals.
  • • Build trusted advisor relationships with engineering and tech leadership, earning credibility through demonstrated understanding of modern software development practices and tools.
  • • Adapt quickly to evolving product features, customer needs, and market dynamics in a fast-moving AI startup environment with minimal process and maximum autonomy.
  • • Contribute to building Cognition’s technical sales organization from the ground up, defining best practices, documentation, and scalable engagement models for enterprise AI sales.
  • • Travel as needed to meet with key clients and attend industry events in the DACH region to strengthen relationships and expand market presence.
  • • Represent Cognition with a high degree of professionalism, technical authority, and entrepreneurial drive, embodying the company’s mission to build AI teammates that empower engineers.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Demonstrate a track record of success selling deeply technical products to enterprise customers
  • • You have technical experience — either as a software engineer, sales engineer or forward deployed engineer. If not, you have an exceptional ability to learn and understand the complex technical problems and requirements our customers are trying to solve using Devin
  • • Thrive in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments — you’re willing to move fast and quickly grow in scope and responsibility
  • • You have a demonstrated exceptional ability to learn
  • • Previously founded a startup
  • • Successfully sourced and closed large, complex enterprise software deals
