- • The Principal Medical Writer (PMW) in Brand & Promotion at Precision Medicine Group plays a pivotal role in developing high-quality, evidence-based promotional content that meets client strategic objectives, aligns with brand messaging, and adheres strictly to the ABPI Code of Practice.
- • Day to day, the PMW produces scientifically robust promotional content across multiple channels including promotional campaigns, brand narratives, detail aids (digital and print), leave pieces, promotional emails, congress materials, claims support materials, and interactive digital tools; interprets complex scientific data into clear, credible messages; conducts literature searches; develops content with annotations and references; incorporates feedback; and ensures brand story arcs are reflected across all materials.
- • The PMW works within the Brand & Promotion team at Precision AQ, a growing division of Precision Medicine Group, collaborating closely with Senior Scientific Directors, Account, Editorial, Creative, Digital, and Client Services teams, as well as clients and external experts, to ensure timely, cohesive delivery and scientific leadership in medical-legal-regulatory (MLR) review sessions.
- • In this role, the PMW can lead brand-promotion projects from a scientific perspective, mentor and provide first-pass review for junior writers, enhance team processes and best practices, contribute to business development pitches, and stay current with therapeutic landscape developments, regulatory updates, and promotional best practices, thereby advancing expertise in pharmaceutical promotional writing and compliance.
🎯 Requirements
- • PhD in a scientific discipline
- • Minimum 6 years’ experience in medical writing, ideally within a medical communications agency, with strong emphasis on pharmaceutical promotional materials
- • Demonstrated expertise in developing promotional assets such as brand campaigns, brand narratives, detail aids, leave pieces, emails, digital promotional content, and congress materials
- • In-depth understanding and practical application of the ABPI Code of Practice in promotional content
- • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and reference-management tools (e.g., EndNote)
- • Experience with literature databases (e.g., PubMed)
