📋 Description

• As Principal Product Manager for Mobile Products at ButterflyMX, you will lead the mobile product experience for a new and growing area of the business, owning the end-to-end experience for property managers and operators within the broader access control ecosystem. Your work will directly impact how residents, property managers, and developers interact with ButterflyMX’s smart access solutions, driving innovation that lowers operating costs and improves tenant satisfaction across 23,000+ properties worldwide.
• You will own the product roadmap for this new mobile surface area, conducting rigorous discovery with end users and operators to validate assumptions, iterating with Design and Engineering to refine solutions, and embedding AI where it creates genuine value—not as a checkbox but as a lever for smarter operations and better user experiences. You’ll make strategic decisions about build vs. partner vs. white-label, establish meaningful metrics, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes.

• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in mobile-first product strategy, AI integration in physical-digital ecosystems, and B2B2C product dynamics where end users and buyers differ. You’ll sharpen your discovery skills, influence cross-functional teams without authority, and ship products that people use daily on their phones—while contributing to a mission-driven company transforming access control in real estate.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in product management with a track record of owning products from concept to market
• Mobile-first instincts: you think in mobile experiences natively, understand what makes a consumer app sticky, and have shipped products people use on their phones
• Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage product challenges: you can operate with a partial playbook, fill in the gaps, and make confident decisions with incomplete information
• Strong discovery discipline: you know how to get close to customers, synthesize qualitative signal, and translate it into a clear product direction
• AI-native thinking: you approach product problems by asking how intelligent systems can improve the experience, not by adding AI as an afterthought
• Sharp communication skills: you can influence across engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership by writing well, presenting clearly, and earning trust without authority
