📋 Description

• Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive competitive intelligence program to inform product marketing and go-to-market strategies for CodeRabbit’s AI-driven code review platform.
• Conduct hands-on technical deep dives and benchmarking against key competitors in the AI coding and developer tools ecosystem to identify strengths, weaknesses, and market differentiators.
• Create and maintain battle-cards, competitor bulletins, customer-facing positioning materials, and sales enablement slides that clearly articulate CodeRabbit’s unique value proposition.
• Equip sales and GTM teams with timely, actionable tactical responses and deal support to counter competitive threats and close deals more effectively.
• Drive the Win/Loss analysis program by collecting and interpreting customer and sales feedback to validate messaging, uncover customer proof points, and guide product and sales strategy.
• Monitor and analyze real-time competitive developments, including product launches, pricing changes, marketing campaigns, and industry trends, and communicate insights rapidly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales to align competitive positioning with product roadmap and customer needs.
• Participate in industry conferences, product demos, and developer events to gather intelligence on emerging competitors and shifting market dynamics.
• Translate complex technical capabilities of CodeRabbit and its competitors into clear, compelling business value narratives for non-technical stakeholders and customers.
• Embed AI-native tools into daily workflows to accelerate research, automate data collection, and enhance the speed and accuracy of competitive analysis and asset creation.
• Serve as the primary internal expert on competitive landscape dynamics, providing strategic guidance to leadership on market positioning and response tactics.
• Build and maintain a centralized repository of competitive intelligence assets, ensuring accessibility and consistency across global sales and marketing teams.
• Proactively identify emerging threats and opportunities in the AI-powered developer tools space, anticipating market shifts before they impact revenue or market share.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure competitive messaging is consistently applied across all customer touchpoints, including websites, demos, proposals, and sales presentations.
• Provide regular reporting and dashboards on competitive activity to product, marketing, and executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong technical and analytical background to proactively identify market shifts, build competitive strategies
• Operate as an AI-native professional, effectively embedding AI tools into your daily workflow to accelerate research, asset creation, and data analysis
• Ability to synthesize complex technical information and distill key insights for various stakeholders. Experience translating technical features into compelling business value for diverse audiences
• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and visual—to share competitive insights and strategies effectively
• Proven success in roles such as sales engineering, technical marketing, or competitive analysis, preferably within the devtool and AI coding ecosystem
• A technical degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience is required

• Base salary of $275k–$290k
