• • As a Principal Scientist, Advanced Imaging at Calyx Institute Inc., you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of clinical research by providing critical scientific expertise in projects leveraging medical imaging and associated data. Your role is pivotal in evaluating the efficacy of investigational drugs and novel treatments, contributing directly to bringing advanced medical therapies to market faster.
• • You will operate as a high-level contributor, taking ownership of both the scientific and operational facets of complex projects. This includes independently authoring and meticulously reviewing essential study documents, ensuring scientific rigor and clarity throughout the research process.
• • A key responsibility involves coordinating effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including clients, research teams, and regulatory bodies. Your ability to foster strong working relationships and facilitate clear communication will be paramount to project success.
• • You will be instrumental in developing and implementing sophisticated quantitative analysis methodologies. This requires a deep understanding of imaging data, statistical principles, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• • Serving as the primary point of contact for scientific results, deliveries, and consultations, you will address any study issues related to quantitative analysis with independence and expertise. Your insights will guide project direction and problem-solving.
• • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying key project requirements and deliverables, ensuring alignment between scientific objectives and operational execution.
• • You will be responsible for authoring and reviewing a variety of critical documents, including standardized/harmonized image acquisition guidelines. This involves defining imaging parameters for clinical protocols to guarantee the standardization of imaging techniques across multi-center trials, a crucial step for data integrity and comparability.
• • Contributing to or leading the development of the Independent Review Charter, particularly focusing on scientific analysis methodology documents, will be a core function. You will also be responsible for crafting clear and concise results summaries and image QC and processing instructions (QC Forms).
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve aiding in the deployment and maintenance of new scientific workflows, ensuring operational excellence, consistency, and efficiency across all imaging analysis activities.
• • You will perform in-depth analysis of image data and associated non-image data, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the analysis processes and the software platforms utilized.
• • A crucial part of the role is to contribute to and potentially lead the development of novel analysis approaches, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in medical imaging analysis.
• • You will be expected to identify and address non-compliances and non-conformances associated with analysis, demonstrating a mastery of quality control and the ability to support even the most complex cases.
• • Reviewing audit findings, assessing associated risks, and ensuring the timely and effective implementation of corrective actions will be essential for maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality standards.
• • Conducting thorough quality control reviews of both scientific output and raw imaging data will be a daily responsibility.
• • You will actively participate in and contribute to project-related client meetings, presenting, interpreting, and potentially publishing scientific materials as needed. Attending relevant scientific and professional meetings will keep you abreast of the latest advancements.
• • Effective and professional communication with all internal and external stakeholders is non-negotiable. You will demonstrate significant knowledge of the holistic delivery process as it relates to analysis, providing consultancy and advisory support.
• • Identifying, evaluating, and communicating potential risks related to deliverables, along with proposing effective mitigation strategies, will be a key leadership function.
• • You will actively maintain and disseminate knowledge within one or more identifiable specialisms, becoming a go-to expert within the team and organization.
• • Contributing to and/or leading internal training sessions will be expected, helping to elevate the skills and knowledge of colleagues.
