- • Principal Software Developer role focused on building cloud-based collaboration capabilities across Autodesk design tools within the AEC Data Platform team.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on coding to deliver scalable backend services, providing technical leadership on architecture and design, mentoring developers, maintaining reliable and secure cloud services, ensuring high code quality through automated testing and CI/CD, documenting technical solutions, supporting on-time delivery, and participating in on-call rotations.
- • The team is part of Autodesk’s Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Data Platform, which delivers products, APIs, and services enabling customers to access, use, and share data across their ecosystem.
- • The role offers opportunities to deepen expertise in cloud-native development, distributed systems, AI-powered development tools, and technical leadership while contributing to innovative design and engineering software used globally.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of software development experience building enterprise-level cloud services
- • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
- • Experience building cloud services on Java using Spring OR Typescript
- • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, serverless computing, microservices, infrastructure as code, GitOps, and AWS best practices
- • Hands-on experience with AWS services including ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, and SNS
- • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, NestJS, and Next.js
- • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, ORM frameworks, and caching strategies
- • Experience designing and working with distributed systems and RESTful APIs
- • Experience monitoring backend performance and implementing optimizations for scalability and response times
- • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- • Understanding of security principles, authentication, and authorization mechanisms
- • Familiarity with containerization using Docker
