📋 Description

• The Principal Software Engineer role at Instil, Inc. is a senior technical position focused on solving complex problems, shaping architecture, and leading the design and delivery of high-quality software in production environments. • Day to day, the engineer will design and deliver scalable software using Java, C#/.Net, TypeScript, or Python; lead architectural decisions across services and cloud-native systems; build backend services, APIs, and event-driven systems; work with AWS, Azure, or GCP to create secure, reliable solutions; apply AI tools to enhance development workflows; provide technical leadership and mentoring; drive improvements in engineering practices and deployment processes; collaborate with platform, product, and delivery teams; and help define technical standards across projects.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience designing and delivering production-grade software systems using technologies such as Java, C#/.Net, TypeScript or Python
• Significant experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong background in system design, architecture, and building scalable distributed systems
• Experience designing and building APIs, backend platforms, and event-driven services
• Proven ability to make sound technical decisions and guide teams through complex engineering challenges
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
