- • Operate and maintain enterprise-grade OpenShift build systems to ensure timely delivery of product releases and critical fixes to customers.
- • Analyze and continuously improve build systems to enhance instrumentation, transparency, speed, accuracy, and reliability of software release processes.
- • Investigate, debug, and provide guidance for resolving failing builds across complex, interconnected systems.
- • Integrate new components and tools into the existing build infrastructure to meet evolving requirements from across Red Hat.
- • Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to support testing workflows and ensure build integrity.
- • Support Development Teams by enabling reliable and efficient testing of builds through automated tooling.
- • Demonstrate automation improvements to stakeholders, showcasing enhancements in efficiency and system robustness.
- • Document build processes and system configurations to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
- • Work within a globally distributed team to maintain and evolve the automated release tooling pipeline for OpenShift.
- • Apply deep expertise in Linux-based operating systems to optimize build environments and resolve platform-specific issues.
- • Engage in peer collaboration to foster a culture of continuous learning, process improvement, and automation excellence.
- • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable automation solutions aligned with enterprise-grade software delivery standards.
- • Use Git and GitHub in a team environment to manage code changes, review pull requests, and coordinate development workflows.
- • Ensure all automation systems are resilient, traceable, and aligned with Red Hat’s open source principles and enterprise security standards.
- • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical build system failures, providing timely resolution and post-mortem analysis.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong proficiency in Python
- • 7+ years of relevant experience
- • Experience with Continuous Integration systems
- • Strong expertise in RHEL/Fedora Linux based operating systems
- • Experience with git and working in teams on GitHub
- • Experience with container build and runtime software applications
