📋 Description

• As a Principal Software Engineer, Applications at FloQast, you will serve as a primary architect of the 'Operating System for Accounting,' defining the technical North Star for the application ecosystem and driving step-function improvements in how value is delivered to global brands.
• You will solve complex distributed systems problems, design scalable and resilient systems, and elevate engineering standards across teams by setting technical direction and mentoring senior engineers.
• You will collaborate with product, infrastructure, and engineering leadership to translate business goals into technical strategy, ensuring alignment between architecture and product velocity.
• You will have the opportunity to shape the long-term technical foundation of a high-impact SaaS platform used by thousands of enterprises, enabling innovation at scale and establishing yourself as a technical leader in the accounting technology space.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in designing and implementing large-scale distributed systems
• Proven experience as a technical leader or architect in high-growth SaaS environments
• Strong proficiency in backend technologies, including Java, Kotlin, or similar JVM languages
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Ability to influence engineering culture and drive technical excellence across teams
