📋 Description

• • As a Principal Software Engineer – Backend at Autodesk, you will serve as a senior individual contributor driving technology direction for large, complex, and business-critical backend and distributed systems within the Enterprise Data Management organization.
• • Day to day, you will provide principal-level technical leadership across multiple backend and platform teams, author and evolve critical backend systems and APIs, lead design of distributed event-driven systems, establish service and API standards, drive operational excellence, mentor senior engineers, and partner with product and data leaders to translate business problems into technical solutions.
• • You will join Autodesk’s COO-GET Engineering group, a team focused on enterprise-scale data services where innovation meets real-world impact in design, manufacturing, and creative industries.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise platform design while influencing architecture and engineering outcomes across teams without formal authority, positioning you as a technical force multiplier.
