  • • As a Principal Solution Architect in Acxiom’s Data & AI Consulting practice, you will play a pivotal role in driving enterprise-scale marketing transformation by designing and implementing modern marketing data platforms that enable campaign execution, customer data activation, and measurement at scale. Your work will directly impact how global brands leverage data to power personalized, measurable marketing outcomes.
  • • You will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of marketing data ecosystems, spanning data ingestion, modeling, identity-aware customer data design, campaign orchestration, and measurement, ensuring architectures are production-ready, scalable, and aligned with real-world marketing workflows.
  • • Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and client stakeholders to translate business ambitions into technical roadmaps, guide implementation, and drive outcomes in complex, evolving environments while mentoring junior talent and shaping practice standards.
  • • Day to day, you will serve as the solution architecture lead across the full platform lifecycle—discovery, design, and implementation—partnering with strategy leads to convert business goals into executable architectures and roadmaps.
  • • You will lead client working sessions to define requirements around campaign workflows, operational dependencies, customer data models, metadata structures, and identity-aware audience frameworks, ensuring alignment between business use cases and technical feasibility.
  • • You will design and own end-to-end marketing data architecture, including Bronze (ingestion), Silver (transformation), and Gold (consumption) layers, defining data grain, conformance logic, key joins, KPI logic, aggregation strategies, source-to-target mappings, and field-level definitions.
  • • You will translate ambiguous business definitions into clear, scalable data structures and SQL logic, designing customer data models that support identity stitching, audience persistence, and cross-channel activation while ensuring traceability, repeatability, and production readiness.
  • • You will define solution blueprints across modern marketing ecosystems, including cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift), cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP), CDPs and activation platforms (Adobe, Salesforce, Hightouch, LiveRamp), and clean rooms and CAPI integrations.
  • • You will design integrations across CRM systems, campaign platforms, media data, and operational systems, ensuring alignment with privacy, governance, compliance, performance, scalability, and cost considerations.
  • • During implementation, you will lead architecture through build and deployment phases, ensuring designs translate into production-ready solutions, data pipelines and models are correctly implemented, and QA, validation, and reconciliation processes are in place.
  • • You will guide engineering teams and client stakeholders through technical decision-making, issue resolution, trade-offs, and delivery milestones, navigating incomplete or evolving requirements by structuring delivery sequencing to minimize rework.
  • • You will ensure data and platform design supports campaign execution workflows (batch, triggered, omnichannel), audience targeting, suppression, personalization, and measurement frameworks (attribution, incrementality, lift).
  • • You will design data structures that enable BI reporting and AI/ML use cases (e.g., propensity, optimization, scenario planning, emerging AI-driven workflows), ensuring alignment between campaign design, data availability, and measurement outputs to avoid downstream rework.
  • • You will contribute to practice development by creating reusable architecture patterns and frameworks, shaping delivery standards and best practices, supporting pre-sales through solution shaping, effort estimation, and delivery model definition, and mentoring junior architects and engineers.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 8+ years in solution architecture, data architecture, or platform implementation with a strong focus on marketing and customer data
  • • Proven experience delivering end-to-end solutions (not just designing, but implementing)
  • • Deep expertise in marketing data ecosystems and campaign workflows, cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, etc.), and data modeling and transformation in SQL-heavy environments
  • • Strong understanding of campaign execution, audience targeting, suppression logic, and marketing measurement frameworks (attribution, lift, etc.)
  • • Experience working with identity resolution and customer data frameworks (e.g., ID stitching, audience persistence, or partner integrations)
  • • Experience with multi-layer data architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold), source-to-target mappings, ERDs, data dictionaries, KPI definitions, and complex metric calculations from a data perspective
  • • Ability to translate business ambiguity into structured technical solutions and communicate architecture clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • • Strong familiarity with martech ecosystem (CDPs, CRM, campaign platforms) and data governance and privacy considerations
