- • As a Principal Solutions Architect at Equinix, you will be at the forefront of shaping the digital infrastructure of major enterprises, acting as a senior technical resource within the Global Technical Sales Team. This role is pivotal for the most complex, multi-region strategic engagements, focusing on our enterprise customer portfolio. You will collaborate closely with Field-based Account Executives, taking ownership of end-to-end architecture strategy and driving the technical success of high-profile opportunities. Your position will be that of a trusted advisor and an authoritative presence, engaging directly with senior and C-level stakeholders to guide their digital transformation journeys.
- • This is a high-visibility position demanding an exceptional blend of deep technical expertise, executive engagement capabilities, and strategic foresight. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of accelerating enterprise customer transformation at scale, demonstrating mastery across digital infrastructure, interconnection, and hybrid cloud architectures. You will be instrumental in positioning Equinix's global platform as the foundation for innovation and growth.
- • You will lead strategic platform discovery and qualification for significant enterprise opportunities, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor to senior and C-level executives across multi-region accounts. Your role involves championing the core promises of Equinix's platform – reach, reliability, and interconnection – and articulating our differentiated advantages across data center, digital services, and managed services portfolios. A key responsibility is translating complex platform and ecosystem capabilities into compelling, outcome-oriented narratives that resonate with both executive and business stakeholders.
- • You will own the technical win from inception to completion. This includes leading whiteboarding sessions, conducting high-level discovery, and developing comprehensive technical account plans. You will be responsible for driving stakeholder relationship management within the sales team, orchestrating the technical engagement process, and channeling valuable product feedback to enhance our portfolio and customer outcomes. Every customer engagement will be approached with meticulous preparation, including thorough research on personas, desired outcomes, and a disciplined partnership with the Account Executive.
- • A core aspect of this role is Interconnection Value Selling. You will articulate the comprehensive value of Equinix's interconnection portfolio, including Equinix Fabric and cross-connects, to senior technical and business leaders within enterprise accounts. You will position the unique ecosystem value and interconnection advantages across various business units and personas. Guiding customers through critical use cases such as network modernization, hybrid multi-cloud strategies, cloud-adjacent storage, and data adjacency will be paramount. You will develop and document reference architectures and strategic use cases that demonstrably improve customer outcomes and foster broader platform adoption. Furthermore, you will empower customers to identify and leverage destination strategy, network magnets, and ecosystem effects to maximize their investment in Platform Equinix.
- • In terms of Architecture Strategy and Solutioning, you will own the end-to-end architecture strategy for your assigned enterprise accounts, ensuring the delivery of consistent, comprehensive, and accurate technical account plans. You will drive global technical strategy across complex, multi-stakeholder engagements, coordinating effectively with supporting Go-To-Market teams to ensure a unified and superior customer experience. Leading customer workshops, executive briefings, and whiteboard sessions for transformative technology decisions, particularly those involving hybrid and multi-cloud modernization, will be a regular part of your responsibilities.
- • You will support sustainable digital transformation by aligning Equinix's capabilities with multi-year customer roadmaps and their evolving infrastructure strategies. Scaling market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product and services portfolio improvements is also a key contribution. You will leverage our extensive partner ecosystems to deliver joint technical solutions, always maintaining an agnostic and neutral advisory stance. Contributing to the Global Technical Sales Team (GTST) communities through knowledge sharing, team enablement, and continuous learning is expected.
- • To excel in this role, you must maintain an expert-level understanding of industry trends, staying current on data center, interconnection, AI infrastructure, and hybrid cloud developments through ongoing education, certifications, and self-directed learning. Your ability to deliver professional customer design documentation, reference architectures, and executive-ready deliverables will be critical to your success.
