📋 Description

• As a Principal UX Researcher at Immersive Labs Limited, you will serve as the strategic voice and advocate for product excellence, directly shaping the future of the Immersive One platform by leading research that informs system-level architecture and drives evidence-based decision-making at the highest levels of the organization.
• You will define and execute a unified research strategy across complex B2B SaaS products, personas, and workflows, ensuring research is not just tactical but a core driver of platform evolution, market leadership, and customer delight.
• Day to day, you will lead generative and evaluative research including interviews, usability/task testing, concept and prototype evaluation, tree tests, card sorts, surveys, and longitudinal studies, transforming raw qualitative and quantitative data into compelling strategic narratives that influence roadmaps, prioritization, and major investment decisions.
• You will bridge vision and execution by translating multi-quarter platform blueprints into actionable outcomes, architecting research frameworks and playbooks that scale research effectiveness, and establishing a repeatable learning engine with insight repositories, synthesis rituals, and regular testing cadences.
• As a senior individual contributor, you will coach designers and product managers on lightweight research techniques and evidence-based practices, fostering an organizational culture where research is embedded in decision-making at all levels.
• You will work within a mission-driven, inclusive, and customer-centric global team of over 300 employees, reporting directly to the Director of Product Design, and contributing to a company recognized as a Best Place to Work, backed by over £150 million in funding and a founding story rooted in innovation from a cargo container in Bristol.
• In this role, you will have the opportunity to shift product strategy at an architectural level, build scalable research infrastructure, and leave a lasting legacy by establishing research as a core competency that future-proofs the organization against evolving cyber threats through deep user understanding.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience leading research in B2B SaaS, enterprise, or complex product environments with visionary leadership and mastery of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
• Proven track record of influencing product strategy at an architectural level, not just feature-level, by synthesizing complexity into narratives that move senior stakeholders and executives.
• Demonstrated capability to build scalable research infrastructure, including frameworks, playbooks, and repeatable processes that elevate organizational research maturity.
• Fluency in measurement frameworks such as sentiment analysis, task success metrics, and behavioral analytics to inform data-driven decisions.
• Experience establishing repeatable learning engines, including insight repositories, synthesis rituals, and regular testing cadences (e.g., weekly/fortnightly) that enable reuse and continuous learning.
• Ability to coach designers and product managers in lightweight research techniques and evidence-based decision making to foster a research-enabled culture.
