- • As a Privacy & Product Counsel, you will be a key advisor, ensuring our products and practices not only comply with global regulations but also embody ethical AI standards and robust data privacy principles. Your work will directly contribute to enabling thousands of client companies to make faster, more reliable decisions through trustworthy data.
- • You will serve as a trusted advisor to cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Security. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, advising on incident response, and refining policies, processes, and documentation related to data and product releases. A significant focus will be on embedding ethical AI standards into our AI-enabled features and safeguarding user data privacy.
- • You will play a crucial role in the company's overall success by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a diverse range of legal documents. This includes, but is not limited to, privacy policies and notices, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Security Addenda, licensing agreements, reseller agreements, strategic partnership agreements, and data-related vendor contracts.
- • Support commercial legal efforts by providing expertise on intellectual property and AI licensing, privacy obligations, international data transfers, regulatory compliance, subprocessor management, consent mechanisms, notice requirements, and other associated liabilities.
- • Collaborate extensively with various internal stakeholders, including Go-to-Market teams, Customer Support, Professional Services, Security, People Business Partners, Finance, Operations, Accounting, Data Science, and Marketing. Your input will ensure that our business objectives and internal ethical standards are consistently informed by and aligned with evolving regulations and laws governing consumer protection, cybersecurity, AI, privacy, and data protection. This includes staying abreast of and advising on frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, FTC regulations, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, DORA, AI principles, the EU AI Act, and the EU Data Act.
- • Proactively track, analyze, and provide guidance on legal and regulatory changes impacting the development of our products and services. You will be responsible for identifying and escalating potential privacy/AI compliance or governance gaps and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard the company and its users.
- • Drive efficiency and alignment within the legal team by creating and updating playbooks, revising legal templates, mentoring other legal and contract professionals, and establishing robust, repeatable, and transparent legal collaboration processes. A key objective will be to prioritize and implement automation wherever feasible to streamline workflows.
- • This is a remote-first position based in the United States, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the country while being part of a globally distributed team.
