📋 Description

• This part-time Private Equity Associate role within Aptura’s AI Residency program bridges private equity expertise with frontier AI development, enabling you to directly influence how AI models reason about complex financial transactions.
• Day to day, you will generate, refine, and evaluate content that reflects how PE professionals think through LBO transactions, valuation, and deal execution from origination through close, contributing your deal experience to improve AI reasoning in investment banking and capital markets.
• Aptura is founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, headquartered in London and San Francisco, and specializes in bringing real-world finance expertise into AI model training to close the gap between human and artificial intelligence.
• In this role, you will gain rare, early exposure to how AI labs develop models, sharpen your ability to articulate complex financial judgment in writing, and contribute to cutting-edge research that enhances AI’s understanding of private equity workflows.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in private equity at a recognized fund with genuine deal execution responsibility
• Associate level with hands-on LBO modeling, IC materials, and closed transaction experience
• Deep expertise in deal structuring, leveraged buyout analysis, and value creation planning
• Strong financial modeling skills (incl. LBO, DCF, returns analysis) and comfort with IC memos, investment theses, and deal documentation
• Ability to articulate private equity and transaction judgment clearly and precisely in writing
