- • As a Procurement Specialist for EU & UK Operations at GenScript Biotech Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless sourcing and delivery of goods and services across our European sites, directly supporting our mission to advance biotechnology innovation and improve human and environmental health through reliable, compliant, and cost-effective procurement.
- • You will execute end-to-end procurement requests from both EU and UK sites, coordinating with production, back office, and logistics teams to capture requirements accurately, ensure timely delivery, and uphold quality standards while maintaining compliance with company policies and regional regulations.
- • You will identify, evaluate, and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and service levels, and monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency across operational categories.
- • You will procure equipment, packaging materials, consumables, and logistics-related items, aligning procurement with shipping schedules and inventory needs in close collaboration with the logistics team to support smooth supply chain operations.
- • You will manage procurement for production materials, lab consumables, and administrative, HR, and EHS-related items, track budget usage, and provide detailed reporting to support financial transparency and operational planning.
- • You will ensure all procurement activities comply with GenScript’s internal policies, EU and UK local laws, and regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records in SAP or other procurement systems, and contribute to process optimization and standardization efforts across regions.
- • You will work within a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days WFH) at our Rijswijk headquarters, collaborating with a multicultural, global team to strengthen GenScript’s European operational footprint following the 2025 launch of our new Delft production facility.
- • You will develop expertise in international procurement within the life sciences sector, gain hands-on experience with SAP, refine negotiation and supplier management skills, and build a professional network in the Dutch and UK supplier landscape—positioning you for growth into senior procurement or supply chain roles within a fast-growing global biotech leader.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably within life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, or high‑tech industries.
- • Experience managing procurement in the EU and/or UK, with familiarity in regional purchasing practices and local supplier landscapes.
- • Proficiency in English and Dutch (B2+ required); Chinese is a plus but not mandatory.
- • Familiarity with SAP procurement systems and demonstrated ability to manage supplier negotiations, contract terms, and performance monitoring.
- • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with cost modelling and data‑driven decision‑making, plus the ability to review basic technical or facility drawings.
- • Legal eligibility to work in the Netherlands and strong intercultural communication skills for effective collaboration across diverse teams.
