  • • FundraiseUp is seeking a visionary and experienced Product Analytics Team Lead to establish and spearhead our new Core Analytics team. This pivotal role is designed for an individual with a minimum of 7 years of dedicated analytics experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity. As the inaugural leader of this team, you will be instrumental in defining its mission, setting strategic priorities, and architecting a roadmap for its growth and impact across the entire organization. The Core Analytics team operates as a foundational platform, developing shared metrics, robust analytical frameworks, comprehensive dashboards, and standardized analytical practices that will be adopted and utilized by all product teams within FundraiseUp. This is a unique opportunity to build an analytics function from the ground up, shaping its direction and scaling its capabilities to support our rapidly growing product development efforts.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Core Product Analytics team, which involves defining its overarching mission, establishing clear priorities, and developing a strategic roadmap that aligns with company objectives. You will be responsible for building and scaling this team, which includes actively participating in the hiring process, mentoring and developing junior analysts, effectively planning and managing workloads, and personally contributing to complex analytical and research initiatives. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach, balancing strategic vision with practical execution.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be to design and develop shared analytical frameworks that provide a consistent and unified view of product performance across the company. This includes creating standardized metrics trees, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring a common understanding of data definitions. You will also be tasked with conducting cross-product, growth-focused research to uncover actionable insights that can be applied across multiple product funnels and user journeys. Your findings will directly influence product strategy and drive significant improvements in user engagement and conversion rates.
  • • You will own the company-level Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, ensuring their accuracy, reliability, and comprehensiveness. This ownership extends to the underlying data architecture, data quality assurance, and the implementation of a unified metrics language that promotes consistency and clarity in reporting. Establishing strong collaboration processes between the Core Analytics team, individual product teams, and other analysts across the company will be crucial for fostering a data-driven culture and ensuring the effective dissemination and utilization of insights.
  • • The Core Analytics team serves as the central hub for data-driven decision-making at FundraiseUp. You will champion best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, ensuring that all product teams have access to the information they need to make informed decisions. Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the analytics function, encouraging the exploration of new tools and methodologies to enhance our analytical capabilities. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and designers to understand their analytical needs and translate them into impactful data solutions.
  • • This role requires a deep understanding of statistical principles and their application in a business context. You will leverage your expertise to design experiments, analyze A/B tests, and provide statistical rigor to our product development processes. Your ability to communicate complex analytical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders will be essential for driving alignment and action. The primary business stakeholders are based in the US, requiring strong English communication skills for documentation and cross-team collaboration, in addition to fluency in Russian for internal team communication.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • • Strong foundation in mathematical statistics and probability theory.
  • • Advanced SQL and a solid understanding of analytical data warehouse architecture.
  • • Strong Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, scikit-learn).
  • • Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Metabase).
  • • Clear written English for documentation and cross-team communication.
