đź“‹ Description
- • As the inaugural Product Analytics Team Lead for FundraiseUp's Core team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making across our rapidly growing organization. This is a unique opportunity to build and lead a foundational analytics function that serves as a central platform for product insights, rather than being tied to a single product. You will define the team's mission, establish critical analytical standards, and architect the frameworks that empower all product teams to understand user behavior, optimize performance, and drive innovation.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to establish and scale the core analytics team. This involves defining its strategic direction, setting clear priorities, and developing a comprehensive roadmap. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of building this team, from participating in the hiring process to attract top analytical talent, to mentoring and developing existing analysts. You will also manage workload distribution, ensuring efficient project execution, and will personally contribute to tackling complex analytical challenges and conducting in-depth research.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to design and develop robust, shared analytical frameworks. This includes creating standardized metrics trees, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) that are universally understood and applied across the company, and ensuring consistency in how data is interpreted. These frameworks will serve as the bedrock for consistent and reliable product analytics throughout FundraiseUp.
- • You will spearhead cross-product growth initiatives by conducting comprehensive research and generating actionable insights. Your work will focus on identifying opportunities for improvement across multiple user funnels and product areas, providing strategic recommendations that have a company-wide impact. This requires a deep understanding of user journeys and the ability to connect analytical findings to tangible business outcomes.
- • You will take ownership of the company-level Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards. This encompasses not only the development and maintenance of these dashboards but also the underlying data architecture, ensuring data quality and integrity, and establishing a unified language for metrics across all reporting. Your goal will be to create a single source of truth for key business and product performance indicators.
- • Establishing seamless collaboration processes will be crucial. You will act as the bridge between the core analytics team, various product development teams, and other analysts within the company. This involves fostering a culture of data sharing, promoting best practices, and ensuring that analytical resources are leveraged effectively to support the company's strategic objectives.
- • Your work will directly influence the product roadmap and strategic direction of FundraiseUp, a leading modern fundraising platform trusted by global nonprofits like UNICEF, the American Heart Association, and the Alzheimer’s Association. You will contribute to a product that facilitates tens of millions of dollars in donations monthly, making a tangible impact on the nonprofit sector.
- • You will operate within a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working with a diverse, international product development team spread across multiple countries. While the primary development language is Russian, strong English proficiency is essential for communication with US-based stakeholders, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will be expected to articulate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely in written English.
- • This role offers the chance to be a pioneer, defining the analytics function from its inception. You will have the autonomy to shape processes, implement tools, and build a high-performing team that drives significant value for FundraiseUp and its mission to make donating as fast and convenient as possible.
- • You will be empowered to identify and champion new analytical methodologies and tools, constantly seeking ways to enhance the team's capabilities and the company's data maturity. Your leadership will be key in fostering a data-informed culture where insights are readily accessible and actively used to guide strategic decisions and product enhancements.
- • The Core team operates as a strategic enabler, providing the infrastructure and expertise for all other product teams to leverage data effectively. This means your work will have a broad reach, impacting user experience, conversion rates, and the overall success of the FundraiseUp platform on a global scale.
- • You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their analytical needs, translate business questions into data-driven inquiries, and deliver impactful results that inform product strategy and development.
- • Your role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of data, making it a trusted resource for the entire organization. This involves implementing rigorous data governance practices and championing data quality initiatives.
- • Ultimately, you will be the driving force behind transforming raw data into strategic intelligence, enabling FundraiseUp to continue its trajectory of innovation and growth in the competitive nonprofit technology landscape.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or team management role.
- • Strong foundation in mathematical statistics and probability theory, with the ability to apply these principles to real-world business problems.
- • Advanced proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of analytical data warehouse architecture, including data modeling and ETL processes.
- • Strong Python skills, including experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn, for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- • Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Metabase for dashboard creation and data visualization.
- • Clear and concise written English communication skills, essential for documentation and cross-team collaboration with US-based stakeholders.
🏖️ Benefits
- • 31 days of paid time off per year.
- • 100% paid telemedicine plan for comprehensive healthcare access.
- • Home Office Setup Assistance: support for purchasing essential home office furniture and equipment (e.g., office chair, desk, monitor) to create an optimal remote workspace.
- • English learning courses to enhance language proficiency.
- • Support for relevant professional education and development opportunities.
- • Allowance for gym or swimming pool memberships for physical well-being.
- • Access to co-working spaces for an alternative work environment.
- • Fully remote working arrangement within Poland.
