- • As a Product Counsel at Function Health, you will serve as a critical legal partner to Product, Engineering, Data, and GTM teams, enabling rapid innovation while ensuring compliance with complex regulatory and privacy requirements in AI-driven healthcare.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include embedding with product teams to advise on legal risk across the full product lifecycle, counseling on AI/ML products involving PHI, advising on privacy frameworks (including HIPAA), supporting go-to-market strategy, and building scalable legal processes to keep pace with high-velocity development.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in health tech law, AI regulation, and privacy compliance while shaping legal infrastructure that supports safe, scalable innovation at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–7+ years of legal experience, with strong preference for in-house product counseling experience
- • Background at a high-growth startup or technology company, ideally in health tech, digital health, or AI
- • Demonstrated experience supporting rapid product development cycles (frequent launches, iterations, and updates)
- • Strong familiarity with privacy and data protection laws (e.g., HIPAA, consumer data frameworks)
- • Experience advising on products involving PHI or sensitive health data
- • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-legal stakeholders
