- • Own the end-to-end design vision for multiple high-stakes products used by millions of end-users across Fortune 500 clients, translating complex business requirements into intuitive, elegant, and scalable user experiences that directly impact revenue and retention.
- • Architect, evolve, and govern Symphony’s global design system—covering typography, color, components, patterns, and accessibility standards—so that 60+ designers, 200+ engineers, and 15+ product squads can ship faster, maintain brand coherence, and reduce technical debt across web, mobile, and emerging platforms.
- • Lead generative and evaluative research initiatives: plan and moderate user interviews, contextual inquiries, diary studies, and A/B tests; synthesize findings into actionable insights that shape product roadmaps, prioritize features, and validate design decisions with both qualitative empathy and quantitative rigor.
- • Partner daily with C-suite stakeholders, product directors, and engineering VPs to define product strategy, craft compelling narratives, and secure buy-in for bold design bets—presenting design rationale, ROI forecasts, and risk mitigation plans that influence multi-million-dollar investment decisions.
- • Build, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary design team of 8–12 product designers, UX researchers, and content strategists; establish career ladders, craft individual development plans, run design critiques, and foster a psychologically safe culture where innovation, feedback, and experimentation thrive.
- • Champion accessibility, inclusivity, and ethical design practices across every touchpoint—ensuring WCAG 2.2 compliance, conducting inclusive design workshops, and embedding DEI principles into research recruiting, persona development, and usability testing protocols.
- • Drive continuous innovation by experimenting with generative AI tools (Figma AI, Midjourney, custom LLMs) to accelerate ideation, automate repetitive tasks, and unlock new interaction paradigms—publishing internal playbooks and hosting guild sessions that upskill the entire design org.
- • Establish and monitor design KPIs—task success rates, NPS, SUS, time-to-value, and design debt metrics—using Amplitude, Mixpanel, and Looker dashboards to measure impact, iterate rapidly, and celebrate wins that resonate across engineering, product, and executive teams.
- • Represent Symphony at global design conferences, client executive briefings, and industry panels—sharing case studies, best practices, and thought-leadership content that elevates our employer brand and attracts top-tier talent from Latin America to Southeast Asia.
- • Contribute to pre-sales and account expansion efforts by co-creating vision prototypes, design sprints, and future-state journey maps that help prospects visualize transformative digital experiences—directly influencing deal velocity and multi-year contract values.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field
- • 6+ years of product design experience with a proven track record of leading high-impact initiatives and building scalable design systems
- • Demonstrated experience collaborating with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered solutions
- • Expert-level proficiency with modern design tools (Figma, Framer, Principle, etc.) and a strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI, interaction design, and design systems work
