- • Design, prototype, and ship pixel-precise, interaction-complete product features that clinicians use daily to reduce friction and reclaim time with patients
- • Own end-to-end design ownership of specific product surfaces—from initial rough frames to final shipped interfaces—without relying on dedicated research or design system teams
- • Work directly with engineers during implementation, reviewing builds to ensure fidelity to design specs, and flagging deviations in spacing, motion, typography, or micro-interactions
- • Apply and evolve Heidi’s design system with rigor: identify broken or missing patterns, propose improvements, and enforce consistency across all surfaces
- • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude Code) as a core part of your workflow to accelerate exploration, generate variants, and refine solutions faster than traditional methods
- • Defend design decisions based on foundational principles of visual hierarchy, optical alignment, easing curves, and component architecture—not solely on user testing data
- • Critique and receive feedback with equal seriousness: share work early, give honest critiques, and iterate with intent
- • Sweat the details that transform functional software into trusted software: 3px padding, type choices, motion timing, color contrast, and layout precision
- • Ship work you’re proud of, not just work that passes review; prioritize quality over compliance
- • Contribute to a product that turns clinical chaos into quiet, precise, and beautiful experiences—where every design choice reduces cognitive load and increases clinician well-being

- • Strong foundational skills in visual design principles: typography, layout, color theory, and component architecture

- • Genuine discomfort with inconsistent spacing, misaligned elements, or suboptimal micro-interactions in shipped software
