- • As a senior member of the team, you will own projects end-to-end, taking loosely defined problems and transforming them into tangible, impactful solutions. This involves collaborating closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations, customer experience (CX), and product management to understand complex workflows, identify user needs, and navigate commercial and regulatory constraints. Your work will span both customer-facing applications and essential internal tools, ensuring a cohesive and effective user experience across the entire Aios ecosystem.
- • A significant focus of your role will be on enhancing our customer-facing web and mobile applications. You will be instrumental in designing intuitive and engaging experiences that drive user adoption and satisfaction, with a particular emphasis on our mobile app development. Simultaneously, you will tackle the intricate challenges of our internal products, optimizing workflows and usability for clinical, operations, enrollment, and CX teams. This dual focus ensures that our technology empowers both our patients and our internal teams.
- • You will be expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs and business objectives, translating them into clear design strategies. This requires not just aesthetic sensibility but a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, acknowledging that design decisions are often shaped by real-world commercial and regulatory limitations. Your ability to articulate the 'why' behind your design choices, the problem you were solving, and the trade-offs made will be crucial in discussions and decision-making processes.
- • This role demands a proactive and self-directed individual who can independently manage projects from initial discovery through to final implementation. You will be comfortable with ambiguity, resourceful in gathering information, and decisive in moving projects forward without constant supervision. - • Collaboration and communication are key. You will also play a role in shaping how design operates within Aios as the team scales, potentially mentoring other designers and contributing to design best practices.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a portfolio that showcases real-world product design experience, demonstrating the problem-solving process, the constraints faced, and the measurable impact of their work. We are looking for evidence of designing for complex environments where regulatory, compliance, or business rules play a significant role, even if not specifically within healthcare. Your ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and execute with a maniacal sense of urgency will be highly valued.
- • This is a full-time, remote position reporting directly to the Head of Product. While we are async-friendly and flexible with working hours, some overlap with UK or US time zones is beneficial for seamless collaboration. 🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing digital products across web and mobile platforms, with a proven track record in customer-facing mobile applications.
- • Demonstrated experience working with products subject to regulatory, compliance, legal requirements, or strong business rules, understanding how to design effectively within these constraints.
- • Proven ability to take ownership of projects from conception to completion, independently managing loosely defined problems and driving them to a shipped solution.
- • A strong portfolio showcasing real product work, illustrating problem definition, design process, constraints, and measurable impact.
- • Excellent communication and articulation skills, with the ability to clearly explain design rationale, defend decisions, and navigate discussions with diverse stakeholders.
- • Experience working collaboratively with engineering teams, with an understanding of implementation details and how design translates into code.
