• • You will be responsible for the end-to-end design process for significant new products and features within our AI-backed support and support operations suite. This involves collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and other key stakeholders to deeply understand complex problems, ideate innovative solutions, and translate them into intuitive and effective user experiences. Your work will be measured by its tangible impact on our business objectives and customer satisfaction.
• • A key aspect of this role is to act as a mentor for other designers within the team. You will actively contribute to the growth and maturation of product design practices at Assembled, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within our UX team. This includes sharing your expertise, providing constructive feedback, and championing best practices in design thinking and execution.
• • You will be tasked with developing a profound understanding of our diverse user base. This involves conducting critical user research, synthesizing findings, and effectively communicating user needs, pain points, and desires to the broader team. By championing the voice of the user, you will ensure that our product development remains grounded in genuine user requirements and leads to satisfying and effective solutions.
• • As a steward of our product experience, you will design major user journeys and interfaces across our platform. This includes establishing intuitive and durable design patterns that enhance usability and consistency. Your efforts will be crucial in elevating our overall standards of excellence and ensuring a cohesive and high-quality user experience.
• • You will play a significant role in enhancing our visual and interaction design standards. This involves contributing regularly to our design system, ensuring its evolution and adoption. You will also collaborate with peers to refine and improve industry standards for workplace software design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in user-centric B2B applications.
• • This role demands a "zero to one" mindset, where you are eager to iterate rapidly in a collaborative setting, bringing creativity and novel ideas to the table. You will excel at balancing scope, speed, and quality to deliver impactful solutions efficiently. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, quickly grasp complex projects, and drive them forward even without a fully defined path will be essential.
• • You will be a customer-driven advocate, deeply passionate about engaging with users, understanding their needs and desires, and translating those insights into actionable design strategies. Your focus will be on keeping projects tightly aligned with what users truly require, ensuring that our products solve real-world problems effectively.
• • Exceptional attention to detail is paramount, particularly in designing complex workflows and interactions. You should have a proven track record of designing with data, including experience with data visualization, and a thoughtful approach to visual design that enhances clarity and impact.
• • A strong technical curiosity and an informed perspective on AI capabilities are vital. You should possess an aptitude for web front-end technologies and a keen interest in understanding what AI can achieve (and its limitations). You will work collaboratively with engineers to build exceptional software, and experience or enthusiasm for making code changes is considered a significant asset.
• • You will be comfortable designing for a system, demonstrating confidence with Figma and a proven ability to design and build reusable, extensible web components. Experience with React is a valuable bonus, further enhancing your ability to contribute to our front-end development ecosystem.
