📋 Description

• Shape the future of secure access for 100,000+ businesses and millions of users worldwide as a Product Designer on a fixed-term engagement with LastPass. In this high-impact role you will own end-to-end design for key product surfaces across web, mobile, and browser-extension experiences, translating complex security concepts into intuitive, trustworthy interactions that feel effortless.
• Partner daily with product managers, engineers, researchers, and security experts to define problems, craft hypotheses, and ship elegant solutions that reduce friction while elevating safety. You will run design sprints, facilitate workshops, and leverage data and user feedback to iterate rapidly, ensuring every pixel and interaction reinforces LastPass’s reputation for reliability and simplicity.
• Own the full design lifecycle—from early-stage discovery and user-journey mapping through wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and polished UI specifications—while maintaining a cohesive design system that scales across platforms. Your work will directly influence conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction metrics, giving you clear ownership of outcomes.
• Champion accessibility and inclusive design principles, ensuring that password and identity management tools are usable by people of all abilities. You will conduct accessibility audits, apply WCAG 2.1 guidelines, and collaborate with QA to verify that keyboard navigation, screen-reader labels, and color contrast meet the highest standards.
• Translate complex security workflows—such as zero-knowledge encryption setup, multi-factor authentication, and enterprise policy configuration—into step-by-step flows that feel reassuring rather than intimidating. You will craft microcopy, error states, and empty states that guide users calmly through critical tasks, reducing support tickets and increasing user confidence.
• Leverage both qualitative and quantitative insights to validate design decisions. You will plan and moderate usability tests, analyze funnel data, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations that move key OKRs. Your ability to tell compelling data-driven stories will secure stakeholder buy-in and accelerate delivery.
• Contribute to and evolve LastPass’s design system, ensuring components, patterns, and tokens remain consistent, documented, and easy for engineers to implement. You will audit existing screens, propose improvements, and build Figma libraries that empower cross-functional teams to ship faster without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborate closely with brand and marketing designers to ensure product experiences align with LastPass’s refreshed visual identity. You will translate brand guidelines into motion principles, iconography, and illustration styles that feel cohesive across product and marketing touchpoints.
• Act as a user advocate in every conversation, bringing the voice of small-business owners, IT admins, and everyday consumers into roadmap discussions. You will maintain a living research repository, share insights company-wide, and inspire empathy through storytelling and journey maps.
• Work in a fully remote, globally distributed team that values asynchronous communication, transparency, and deep focus time. You will participate in weekly design critiques, monthly “show & tell” sessions, and quarterly off-sites (virtual or in-person) to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support.
• Deliver polished, developer-ready assets and documentation that empower engineering teams to ship confidently. You will annotate prototypes, specify responsive behavior, and provide redlines or Figma dev-mode specs that reduce back-and-forth and accelerate release cycles.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives such as dark-mode rollout, biometric authentication flows, and enterprise admin dashboards. Your designs will balance user delight with rigorous security requirements, ensuring LastPass remains the most trusted name in password management.
• Mentor junior designers and interns through pair-design sessions and constructive feedback, raising the overall design bar while building a talent pipeline for future growth. Your leadership will help establish LastPass as a destination for world-class product design talent.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of product or UX design experience shipping consumer or SaaS products across web and mobile
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, variants, and design-system libraries
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process from problem definition to final UI, with measurable impact on user or business metrics
• Strong grasp of usability heuristics, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), and responsive design principles
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional agile teams and translating technical constraints into elegant user experiences
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, enterprise IAM workflows, or authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, FIDO2)
