- • Design end-to-end user experiences for AI product surfaces, from concept to shipped product, focusing on proactive AI workflows that handle multi-step reasoning and external tool interactions.
- • Create novel interaction patterns for human-AI workflows including prompting, review, confirmation, correction, handoff, and recovery to address limitations of current UX patterns.
- • Design interfaces that clearly communicate the AI’s state: what it is doing, what it knows, what it is unsure about, and what will happen next to ensure user understanding and control.
- • Transform complex, multi-step AI capabilities into clear, controllable, and usable flows for everyday contexts such as conversations, errands, organizing, and workflows.
- • Work closely with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to define problems, test design ideas, and ship rapidly in a high-talent-density environment.
- • Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile platforms.
- • Conduct lightweight user research and usability tests to identify friction points, trust issues, and failure modes in AI-driven interactions.
- • Help define and evolve reusable HCI design patterns and components as the product and design system mature.
- • Focus on usability, edge cases, and failure handling to ensure reliability in non-deterministic AI behavior.
- • Prioritize trust, control, feedback, and transparency in all design decisions for AI systems that act autonomously across multiple steps.
- • Operate comfortably in ambiguity, shaping solutions before requirements are fully defined and driving design direction independently.
- • Contribute to a fast-moving team culture that balances shipping high-quality work with continuous learning and collective decision-making.
- • Submit a portfolio as part of the application process demonstrating experience across web or mobile products with a focus on interaction design and user-centered problem solving.

- • Experience as a product designer or UX designer with a portfolio across web or mobile products
- • Strong skills in interaction design, information hierarchy, and prototyping
- • Proficiency in Figma and fast iteration workflows
- • Ability to simplify complex systems and turn unclear product behavior into clear user experiences
- • Experience working closely with product managers and engineers in fast-moving teams
- • Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping solutions before requirements are fully defined
