đź“‹ Description
- • As a Product Engineer at Tempo Labs, you will play a pivotal role in bringing blockchain technology to real-world payment use cases by building first-party products like Tempo Wallet and enabling seamless integration of the Tempo blockchain into enterprise and startup payment systems. Your work will directly contribute to moving money reliably, cheaply, and at scale for fintechs, banks, merchants, and platforms seeking modern financial infrastructure.
- • You will operate at the intersection of product development and customer deployment, translating technical capabilities into tangible user value while gathering field insights to improve the core blockchain, developer experience, and product roadmap—effectively acting as a bridge between engineering, product, and go-to-market teams.
- • Tempo Labs is a mission-driven team of crypto-optimists backed by Stripe’s payments expertise and Paradigm’s crypto innovation, building a layer-1 blockchain designed specifically for stablecoins and high-volume real-world payments. You’ll collaborate with design partners including Anthropic, Coupang, Deutsche Bank, DoorDash, Mercury, Nubank, OpenAI, Revolut, Shopify, Standard Chartered, Visa, and others to shape the future of onchain money movement.
- • In this role, you will gain end-to-end ownership of the product lifecycle—from ideation and development to deployment and iteration—while working across startups, mid-market companies, and enterprises. You’ll develop deep expertise in blockchain systems, money movement flows, and enterprise integration patterns, positioning yourself as a full-stack product builder with rare exposure to both cutting-edge crypto technology and real-world financial infrastructure.
- • You will sharpen your ability to navigate ambiguous environments, learn complex systems quickly, and ship high-impact features under uncertainty—skills essential for founders and product leaders. This role is ideal for former founders or aspiring entrepreneurs who want to understand how to build, launch, and scale products in the intersection of crypto and traditional finance.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of full-stack engineering experience with proven ability to build and ship production-grade applications
- • 1+ year of hands-on experience in crypto or blockchain development, including familiarity with decentralized systems, wallets, or payment flows
- • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams, product managers, and non-technical stakeholders across startups and enterprises
- • Track record of shipping mission-critical systems where safety, reliability, and precision are paramount
- • Ability to travel within the U.S. as needed to work directly with partners and customer environments
🏖️ Benefits
- • Opportunity to work on a layer-1 blockchain backed by Stripe and Paradigm, with direct access to global design partners in finance, AI, and commerce
- • End-to-end product ownership experience—from building first-party apps like Tempo Wallet to deploying integrations in customer environments
- • Exposure to real-world blockchain adoption across startups, mid-market, and enterprise clients in payments and stablecoin use cases
- • High-impact, fast-paced environment where you can move quickly, take ownership, and shape both product and protocol
- • Professional growth toward founder or product leadership roles through deep cross-functional involvement in product, integration, and go-to-market cycles
