- • The Product Management Director will lead a team of Product Directors and EPIC Owners who serve as the critical link between strategy and execution, ensuring initiatives are analyzed, prioritized, approved, implemented, and monitored for outcomes within Manulife John Hancock Retirement’s US Retirement business.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining standardized product management frameworks, translating strategic goals into data-driven narratives, defining KPIs, analyzing trends, supporting roadmap planning and portfolio governance, coordinating cross-functional execution across engineering, marketing, sales, and support, managing product analytics for performance tracking, and leading change management for new tools and workflows.
- • The team operates within a SAFe agile delivery model focused on delivering engaging, streamlined experiences for retirement plan customers and intermediaries, emphasizing accountability, continuous improvement, and results-driven execution.
- • In this role, the individual will build and lead a high-performing, lean team focused on analytics, portfolio governance, and execution excellence; cultivate stakeholder relationships across functions and levels; drive operational efficiencies; and gain deep expertise in strategic product leadership, agile transformation, and data-informed decision-making within a major financial services organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a product or program delivery leader
- • Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to drive collaboration across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution and exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- • Good understanding of project management methodologies and agile processes
- • Proficiency in data analysis to define KPIs, analyze trends, and turn insights into actionable strategies
- • Experience with Lean-Agile practices, including SAFe, Portfolio Kanban, and MVP-driven development
