Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full product lifecycle for InfluxDB integrations, from ideation through launch and post-launch optimization. You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Processing Engine Plugins, Visualization & Analytics Tool Integrations (Grafana, Power BI, Apache Superset, Tableau), and the Integrations features inside InfluxDB 3 Explore UI.
- • Translate customer pain points and market opportunities into crisp product requirements. Maintain a living feature backlog in Productboard, triage new requests from the community, sales, and support, and turn them into prioritized epics and user stories that engineering can execute against.
- • Drive cross-functional alignment by presenting priorities to the bi-weekly Product Council, writing high-level requirement (HLR) documents, and building lightweight AI-powered functional prototypes that validate concepts before engineering commits resources.
- • Champion the voice of the developer. Spend time in forums, on customer calls, and in Slack channels to understand how software engineers use time-series data, then feed those insights into backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions.
- • Ensure every integration is secure, scalable, and performant at petabyte scale. Collaborate with architects and SREs to define SLAs, run chaos tests, and bake observability into each release so customers can trust the platform in production.
- • Craft go-to-market narratives. Partner with Marketing on press releases, blog posts, and webinars; prepare battle cards and competitive teardowns for Sales; and author launch documentation that enables Support and Sales Engineering to hit the ground running.
- • Instrument, measure, and iterate. Add product analytics hooks, run NPS and usability surveys, and dive into usage telemetry to identify drop-off points and growth levers. Present monthly data-driven updates to Support, Sales, and SE teams.
- • Be the bridge between technical depth and business impact. Join pre-sales calls to whiteboard architectures, answer deep technical questions on authentication flows or SQL optimization, and distill feedback into roadmap adjustments that accelerate deal velocity.
- • Maintain a 6–12-month roadmap in Productboard, socialize changes company-wide, and provide quarterly business reviews to leadership that tie roadmap themes to revenue and retention KPIs.
- • Foster a culture of documentation and quality. Review docs PRs, validate features in staging, and coordinate with QA to define acceptance criteria that keep regressions out of production.
- • Collaborate across time zones. As a remote-first company, you will asynchronously align with teammates in North America, EMEA, and APAC via Slack, Notion, and Zoom, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- • Stay ahead of the curve. Monitor emerging standards in time-series analytics, BI tooling, and data-pipeline orchestration; run quarterly competitive analysis; and propose strategic bets that keep InfluxDB the default choice for developers.
