📋 Description

• As a Product Manager at Substack, you will drive product strategy and execution for creator success, directly impacting how creators grow and monetize their work on the platform.
• You will form a deep understanding of the creator platform, identify growth opportunities, build roadmaps across short, medium, and long-term horizons, and own the full product lifecycle from experimentation to large-scale initiatives.
• You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and analytics teams, partner with leadership to align product and company strategy, and lead go-to-market efforts including product marketing and partner collaborations.
• This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of independent publishing, gain end-to-end product ownership experience, and develop expertise in creator economics, growth strategy, and cross-functional leadership at a mission-driven company.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager
• Deep understanding of Substack’s product, user base, and market position
• Strong analytical skills with competence in SQL and experience with BI tools like Sisense
• Ability to operate across all levels of abstraction — from high-level strategy to tactical details like CTA wording
• Strong communication skills: capable of writing strategy docs, blog posts, and presenting regularly to the company
• Comfortable building charts and tools using modern software development tools (including light coding or 'vibe coding')
