Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Better Life Partners’ proprietary healthcare platform, Ascent. You will translate member and staff pain points into clear product initiatives, prioritize them against company OKRs, and shepherd each feature from ideation through launch and continuous iteration.
- • Drive discovery by interviewing counselors, care coordinators, and—when appropriate—members themselves. Synthesize qualitative insights with quantitative data to uncover unmet needs, then craft concise Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that Engineering can execute against.
- • Maintain a living, prioritized backlog in Jira (or equivalent) that balances quick wins, technical debt, and strategic bets. Use story mapping and impact/effort scoring to keep the roadmap transparent and defensible to senior leadership.
- • Collaborate daily with Engineering, Data Analytics, Clinical Operations, and Compliance to ensure every release meets HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other regulatory standards while still delighting users. You are the single source of truth on scope, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
- • Define and monitor KPIs such as member engagement, counselor efficiency, medication-adherence uplift, and platform NPS. Present findings monthly to the Senior Leadership Team, turning insights into next-quarter OKRs.
- • Lead quarterly training webinars and create self-service documentation (videos, quick-start guides, release notes) so that 300+ distributed staff can adopt new features without friction. Measure training effectiveness via post-session surveys and iterate content accordingly.
- • Champion accessibility and inclusive design. Ensure every new screen or workflow is usable by staff who may be in low-bandwidth environments or living in recovery themselves.
- • Mentor junior Product Analysts and Associate PMs through pair-writing specs, story-splitting workshops, and feedback on stakeholder presentations. Help grow the next generation of product talent at BLP.
- • Represent the Product team at cross-functional “Voice of the Member” councils, translating clinical insights into tech requirements that reduce stigma and increase trust.
- • Stay ahead of industry trends—telehealth reimbursement changes, AI scribing tools, no-code automation—and run quarterly spikes to assess their potential impact on our roadmap.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–4 years of product-management experience in an Agile software environment
- • Demonstrated ability to write crisp PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- • Proven track record of shipping features that improved user satisfaction or operational KPIs
- • Excellent communication and stakeholder-influence skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, business, or healthcare-related field
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote-first culture with quarterly in-person team summits in vibrant Northeast cities
- • Competitive salary range of $87,000–$100,000 plus performance bonus
- • Recovery-friendly workplace with flexible PTO, mental-health days, and paid volunteer time
- • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and 75% for dependents
