📋 Description

• As a Product Manager for Prop Trading at Kraken, you will own the end-to-end trading experience across Breakout Prop and Kraken Prop platforms, directly impacting how professional and semi-professional traders interact with proprietary capital in the crypto market.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include driving the trading experience roadmap, defining best-in-class UX for derivatives traders, leading execution on near-term priorities, and ensuring parity with top-tier platforms like Hyperliquid through close collaboration with engineering, risk, and product teams.
• You will work within a lean, high-conviction team at Breakout — a crypto-native proprietary trading platform acquired by Kraken — where every hire shapes the product and the trading experience is the core competitive advantage.
• Reporting to the Head of Product, you will partner with traders, engineers, and risk specialists to translate complex execution nuances into product requirements, lead strategy for agentic and API trading, and set high standards for feature delivery, edge cases, and post-launch iteration.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in crypto derivatives, real-time trading systems, and institutional-grade product development while contributing to Kraken’s mission of accelerating global crypto adoption and financial inclusion.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-6+ years of senior product management experience with significant ownership of a trading or execution product
• Deep understanding of derivatives trading including perps, futures, margin, leverage, order types, and risk parameters
• Proven track record of shipping complex, technically demanding features end-to-end with high quality
• Ability to write detailed, unambiguous product requirements that engineers can execute without constant clarification
• Comfort working in technical environments: reading API docs, understanding data contracts, and working with real-time data streams (streaming prices, live P&L, order state)
• Experience collaborating across multiple engineering teams and managing cross-functional dependencies in fast-paced settings
