📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end operating model for Primer’s product organization, designing and refining planning cadences, roadmap governance, OKR cycles, and operational rituals that align a distributed, senior product team without introducing excessive process
• Define and implement how Primer measures product performance across its portfolio by building instrumentation, dashboards, and feedback loops that deliver leadership clarity on shipping progress, delays, and business impact
• Lead the strategy and evolution of product tooling — selecting, integrating, and scaling the systems the product team uses as the company grows from Series C to a larger enterprise scale
• Coordinate go-to-market readiness across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Marketing teams to ensure launches are well-prepared, stakeholders are properly informed, and execution is synchronized
• Identify and eliminate systemic friction within the product function by designing durable, structural solutions that prevent recurring issues rather than applying temporary fixes
• Build and institutionalize the knowledge infrastructure of the product team through standardized documentation practices, onboarding frameworks, decision records, and shared methodologies that preserve institutional knowledge as the team scales
• Serve as a strategic operational partner to Theo, handling the detailed execution and cross-functional coordination that enables him to focus on high-level product direction and vision
• Create systems and processes that are not just documented but actively adopted and maintained by teams over time, distinguishing between superficial documentation and true operational infrastructure
• Work autonomously in ambiguous environments, initiating progress even when problems are not fully defined, and driving alignment across Product, Engineering, and GTM functions without formal authority
• Think strategically across multi-quarter horizons, balancing long-term vision for how the product function should operate in 18 months with day-to-day execution in the present
• Operate without a defined lane, influencing through the quality of thinking, the usefulness of built systems, and the clarity of insights delivered to cross-functional stakeholders
• Leverage analytical skills to work directly with data, interpret metrics, and turn numbers into clear, actionable narratives without relying on a dedicated data team

🎯 Requirements

• Substantial experience in a senior Product Operations, Chief of Staff, or equivalent role inside a B2B technology company — you have built or significantly rebuilt a product operating model before
• Genuine analytical capability: you can work directly with data, build dashboards, and turn numbers into clear narratives without depending on a data team to do it for you
• Track record of creating systems and processes that people actually adopt and maintain over time — you know the difference between documentation and infrastructure
• Comfortable operating across Product, Engineering, and GTM without a clear lane — you influence through the quality of your thinking and the usefulness of what you build
• Multi-quarter strategic thinking: you can hold the big picture of how the product function should operate in eighteen months while executing in the present
• Highly autonomous in ambiguous environments — you do not need the problem to be fully defined before you start making progress on it
