- • Your primary mission will involve the meticulous definition, prioritization, and continuous optimization of product development roadmaps. This is not just about managing tasks; it's about orchestrating a symphony of technical, business, and user experience efforts to ensure that each new feature delivers demonstrable value. You will be the central point of contact, translating complex business ideas, nuanced customer insights, and forward-thinking innovation opportunities into actionable user stories and clear, concise requirements that the engineering and design teams can execute upon.
- • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work in close partnership with our talented engineering teams, innovative UX/UI designers, and company leadership. Your ability to foster strong working relationships and maintain open lines of communication will be vital in delivering high-impact releases that meet and exceed client expectations. This includes proactively managing expectations, providing transparent progress updates, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on the definition of success for each release cycle.
- • A critical aspect of your responsibility will be to anticipate and mitigate potential risks. You will be expected to identify potential roadblocks early, escalate issues effectively, and maintain a delicate but crucial balance between scope, timelines, and available resources. This requires a pragmatic approach to product development, understanding that flexibility and adaptability are paramount in the fast-paced startup environment.
- • Katapult champions an iterative approach to product development. Your role will involve prioritizing the shipping of value quickly, enabling the collection of crucial user feedback, and then using these learnings to dynamically adjust the product roadmap. This continuous feedback loop ensures that our products remain relevant, competitive, and aligned with evolving market demands and user needs. You will be empowered to make data-driven decisions, leveraging analytics to guide product strategy and measure success.
- • Furthermore, given Katapult's AI-first philosophy, you will play a significant role in the integration and management of AI tools and solutions within our product development lifecycle. This includes identifying strategic opportunities for AI integration, overseeing its successful adoption in digital products, and ensuring that these advancements translate into tangible benefits for our clients and their end-users. Your understanding of how AI can enhance product functionality, user experience, and business outcomes will be a key differentiator.
- • You will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle, from ideation and discovery through to launch and iteration. This involves conducting market research, competitive analysis, and user research to inform product strategy. You will define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and market opportunities. Translating high-level strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria will be a daily activity. You will also be responsible for backlog grooming, sprint planning, and participating in sprint reviews and retrospectives, ensuring the development team has a clear understanding of priorities and objectives.
- • Success in this role means not only delivering successful products but also contributing to the growth and reputation of Katapult. You will act as a product evangelist, both internally and externally, championing the product vision and strategy. Your ability to influence without direct authority, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and navigate complex project landscapes will be essential. You will be a key player in ensuring that Katapult continues to deliver exceptional value and innovative solutions to its clients, solidifying our position as a leader in AI-first product engineering.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced English proficiency (verbal and written) for effective communication with US-based clients and teams.
- • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within technology teams or startup environments.
- • Demonstrated ability to define, break down, and prioritize features with a clear understanding of their impact on business and end-users.
- • Experience working with agile engineering methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or similar).
- • Analytical skills to define KPIs, interpret metrics, and make data-driven product decisions.
- • Experience with the use, management, and implementation of AI tools and solutions within product development, including identifying opportunities for AI integration.
