Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Bitstack Technologies SAS, a rapidly growing fintech company on a mission to rebuild finance from the ground up, empowering users with a better way to save, spend, and grow their money. Since our inception in 2021, we've evolved from a simple Bitcoin investment tool to a comprehensive crypto-native bank, serving over 300,000 users. Backed by industry leaders like Y Combinator, 13books Capital, Stillmark, and Serena, we are a small, ambitious team of operators dedicated to moving fast, focusing on intricate details, and crafting products that users genuinely love. As a Product QA & Reliability Intern, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of Product, Design, and Engineering, ensuring that every new feature we release is not just functional, but exceptionally solid, reliable, and polished before it reaches our user base. This internship is more than just traditional testing; it's about building and maintaining release confidence across our entire product suite.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough end-to-end testing of new features across our platforms, including iOS, Android, and web applications, both before and after their release. This involves meticulously verifying that features function as intended, meet all specified requirements, and integrate seamlessly with existing functionalities. You will be instrumental in identifying potential issues early in the development cycle, thereby minimizing the risk of post-release problems and ensuring a high-quality user experience.
- • A key part of your role will be to craft clear, concise, and actionable bug reports. These reports will serve as the primary communication tool for developers and product managers, detailing the exact steps required to reproduce an issue, outlining the expected versus actual behavior, and providing essential supporting evidence such as screenshots and screen recordings. Your ability to articulate technical problems effectively will be vital in driving timely and accurate resolutions.
- • You will also contribute to the design and ongoing maintenance of comprehensive test checklists for critical user journeys. This includes, but is not limited to, the user onboarding process, card payment functionalities, cash account management, rewards programs, and open banking integrations. These checklists will serve as a standardized guide for quality assurance, ensuring consistency and thoroughness in our testing efforts.
- • A significant aspect of your contribution will be validating bug fixes implemented by the engineering team and actively working to prevent regressions. This involves re-testing resolved issues to confirm their fix and performing broader testing to ensure that the changes have not inadvertently introduced new problems or negatively impacted other parts of the application.
- • Beyond executing test plans, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes. This includes participating in discussions and initiatives related to bug triage, defining severity levels for reported issues, establishing clear release sign-off criteria, and contributing to bug bash rituals designed to uncover hidden defects. Your insights will help shape how we approach quality at Bitstack.
- • Where relevant and aligned with team priorities, you will have the chance to explore and contribute to light test automation efforts. This could involve assisting in the identification of test cases suitable for automation or helping to maintain existing automation scripts, providing exposure to modern QA practices and tools.
- • We are looking for individuals who possess a strong product mindset, demonstrating a genuine care for user experience, clarity, and overall product reliability, rather than just a functional "does it work?" perspective. Your attention to detail should be exceptional, coupled with a constructive enjoyment of identifying and resolving issues. Excellent written communication skills are essential for creating precise bug reports and contributing to documentation. You should be comfortable navigating mobile applications and articulating technical problems with clarity and structure. While prior QA expertise is not a prerequisite, a proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving attitude is paramount. We encourage you to share examples of your thinking, such as how you would report a bug or suggest a product improvement, to showcase your analytical and product-centric approach.
🎯 Requirements
- • Highly detail-oriented with a constructive enjoyment of identifying and resolving issues.
- • Clear and structured written communication skills, capable of articulating technical problems precisely.
- • Comfortable navigating mobile applications (iOS/Android) and describing observed behavior.
- • Strong product mindset, prioritizing user experience, clarity, and reliability.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Hybrid work model: Combine working from our Paris office (Bourse) with remote flexibility.
- • Flexible working hours to accommodate your schedule.
- • Monthly team activities and annual offsites for team building and fun.
- • Swile meal vouchers to cover your daily lunch expenses.
