- • Product Security Engineer role focused on strengthening security built into Supabase’s products, platform, and engineering workflows as the company scales.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and closing application security gaps, conducting threat modeling and secure design reviews, partnering with engineering teams on security expertise, maturing security in a developer-first environment, prioritizing material business risk, improving security posture via automation and secure defaults, supporting incident response, participating in on-call rotations, and managing bug bounty and vulnerability disclosure processes.

- • The role offers opportunity to shape a modern security program, improve security without blocking velocity, work on real-world developer problems, and grow expertise in cloud-native, SaaS, and infrastructure security with technologies like Postgres and Kubernetes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience in product security, application security, or security engineering
- • Comfortable working with cloud-native, developer tools, SaaS, platform, or infrastructure products
- • Clear communication across technical and non-technical audiences, especially in written, asynchronous environments
- • Deep understanding of application security fundamentals including auth, session management, APIs, and secrets handling
- • Experience with vulnerability triage, bug bounty programs, responsible disclosure, or security incident response
- • Comfort with potential security on-call rotation and ability to balance urgency, risk, and practical remediation
