Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Own the end-to-end operational health of a product surface (Remittance, Banking, Gold, or Equities), defining what constitutes a defect and building dashboards or queries to track it in real time.
  • • Drive down key operational metrics by decomposing them, identifying root causes, and executing improvements across internal teams and external partners.
  • • Run weekly operating cadences with external partners including banks, fintech infrastructure providers, custodians, and brokers to escalate performance issues and influence SLAs, cost of funds, FX spreads, fees, routing logic, and service quality.
  • • Design and implement standardized SOPs and operating models for onboarding and steady-state operations across partner teams, internal support, compliance, finance, and product.
  • • Ship production-grade automation workflows that reduce manual ops load—using tools like SQL-triggered alerts, n8n/Zapier-style orchestration, LLM-driven processes, and internal tools—with measurable impact and fallback mechanisms.
  • • Write SQL queries to inspect transaction-level and event-level data, stand up self-served dashboards in Metabase, Hex, Sigma, or equivalent tools, and use data to diagnose and validate improvements.
  • • Bring data-backed diagnoses and prioritized action plans to pod reviews, making trade-offs explicit and owning the outcome of each decision.
  • • Identify and eliminate recurring manual workflows by replacing them with automated, auditable systems that are trusted by internal teams and users.
  • • Operate with extreme ownership: define problems, own metrics, and execute solutions without waiting for direction from analytics, product, or engineering teams.
  • • Work across complex, jurisdiction-specific regulatory environments—handling AML regimes, physical gold custody, cross-border payout corridors, settlement windows, and corporate action reconciliations.
  • • Deliver measurable impact within 90 days: know the product surface at the transaction level, own the defect dashboard, identify top 2–3 defect drivers, and ship at least one automated or process improvement with measurable reduction in defects.
  • • Within six months, reduce a priority defect metric, change partner behavior through evidence-led escalation, improve an SLA or cost/reliability lever, and remove a recurring manual workflow.
  • • Tackle novel operational challenges in diaspora corridors and partner constellations with no pre-existing industry playbook.
  • • Embrace unglamorous, high-impact work—prioritizing outcomes over prestige, and moving numbers through execution, not just planning.
  • • Operate in a small team with high autonomy, large surface area, and full ownership of outcomes rather than tasks.
  • • Work across geographies including India, the UK, the UAE, EU, and the US with alignment to global regulatory and operational realities.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Owned an operational metric end-to-end, not just supported one
  • • Can write SQL and use data to diagnose issues and validate solutions
  • • Have shipped production-grade automation workflows used by real teams or users
  • • Have worked directly with external financial partners (banks, custodians, brokers, fintech infrastructure)
  • • Comfortable executing unglamorous operational work to move key metrics
  • • Do not rely on others to define problems; initiate action independently

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Own the operational health of an entire product line from day one with real user impact
  • • Build AI-powered ops automation at scale in complex, high-leverage corridors
  • • Solve problems with no existing industry playbook in novel global fintech environments
  • • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and ESOPs aligned with Aspora’s long-term vision
  • • Small team with high trust, autonomy, and outcome-based ownership
  • • Exposure to cross-border regulatory systems, partner ecosystems, and global financial infrastructure
