We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to join our vital Overdose Data to Action (OD2A) program, specifically supporting surveillance, prevention, and response activities in Maryland. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a program that directly impacts community well-being and public health outcomes.
  • • As a Program Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the OD2A program in Maryland. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all program requirements are met, enhancing access to program services, and fostering greater participation among target populations. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills and a passion for public health.
  • • Key responsibilities will include meticulously scheduling program-related work, overseeing daily operational activities, and coordinating a diverse range of program initiatives. You will be responsible for setting program priorities to ensure efficient and effective execution of objectives, aligning with the overarching goals of the OD2A program.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves ensuring strict adherence to all documentation requirements mandated by funders. This includes maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and managing all necessary paperwork to ensure transparency and accountability. You will also play a crucial part in ensuring the program's compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, upholding the highest standards of operational integrity.
  • • The Program Coordinator will actively assist in budget monitoring and development, contributing to the financial health and sustainability of the program. • • You will provide essential technical assistance and training to a variety of stakeholders, including community partners, healthcare providers, and public health officials. This involves sharing expertise, offering guidance, and facilitating capacity-building initiatives to enhance their ability to implement overdose prevention and response strategies.
  • • Establishing and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is paramount. This includes fostering partnerships with state and local health departments, community-based organizations, and other relevant entities to create a cohesive and effective network of support.
  • • A key function of the role is to gather and disseminate crucial information related to program research, best practices, and training opportunities. This ensures that the program and its partners remain informed about the latest developments and advancements in overdose prevention and substance use disorder treatment.
  • • You will develop specialized knowledge in community-based overdose practices, overdose prevention strategies, surveillance techniques, and response protocols. This deep understanding will enable you to provide expert guidance and support to program activities.
  • • Developing and implementing effective program monitoring and reporting tools will be essential for tracking progress, identifying challenges, and demonstrating program impact. This involves creating systems that allow for timely and accurate data collection and analysis.
  • • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team is critical. You will manage your workload autonomously while also collaborating seamlessly with colleagues and partners.
  • • Experience working in a virtual environment with remote partners and teams is highly valued, as much of our work is conducted through digital platforms. Proficiency in essential communication and collaboration tools is therefore a must.
  • • This role is part of a dynamic public health initiative, and as such, responsibilities may evolve. The Program Coordinator must be adaptable and willing to take on new tasks as program priorities shift, always with the goal of best supporting public health efforts in Baltimore, Maryland.
