  • • Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to join its Harvard Business Impact team. This role is pivotal in delivering cutting-edge leadership development solutions to a global clientele of prominent companies. As a key player, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the entire lifecycle of these programs, ensuring they are executed with the highest standards of quality, timeliness, and within budgetary constraints. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the central point of contact for client engagements, cultivating robust and lasting relationships with client project managers and senior stakeholders. This position is perfectly suited for an individual with a proven track record in project or program management, ideally with a background in management and leadership development, and experience leading client engagements within an executive education or professional services setting.
  • • The Project Manager will own the end-to-end delivery process for one or more clients, acting as the primary liaison and operational lead. This involves meticulous planning, proactive risk management, and seamless coordination of all project elements. You will be responsible for onboarding new projects, ensuring all relevant internal teams, including Senior Learning Managers, faculty, and facilitators, are aligned and prepared for successful delivery. A critical aspect of this role is the proactive identification and mitigation of project risks and scope creep, ensuring that projects remain on track and meet client expectations.
  • • Beyond project execution, you will play a strategic role in identifying potential business development opportunities within your client accounts. These insights will be crucial for the Relationship Manager, contributing to the growth and expansion of HBP's services. You will be expected to implement solutions that precisely align with client needs, drawing upon your expertise in leadership development to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness. This includes engaging with renowned thought leaders and facilitators, ensuring their contributions to program design and content are exceptional and aligned with learning objectives.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve discussing and refining instructional design principles and learning objectives with clients and internal teams. This collaborative approach ensures that the programs developed are not only engaging but also highly effective in achieving desired learning outcomes. Your ability to interpret project data and translate it into actionable recommendations for improvement will be vital in continuously enhancing program delivery and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, a relationship-oriented mindset, and a deep commitment to client success, consistently going the extra mile to exceed expectations.
  • • This role demands a highly consultative approach to client engagement, requiring flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment. You will be expected to manage complex projects and schedules with exceptional planning and organizational skills. The ability to make customer-focused decisions is paramount, ensuring that all outcomes are of the highest quality and directly address client requirements. Clear, consistent, and timely communication is essential to keep all project teams informed and ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope. The Project Manager will be a proactive problem-solver, adept at navigating challenges and ensuring smooth project progression.
  • • The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player, eager to contribute to HBP's mission of improving the practice of management worldwide. Your interest in adult learning and the broader field of management development will be a significant asset. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with world-leading companies, contribute to impactful leadership development initiatives, and be part of a globally recognized organization committed to innovation and excellence in management thinking. The remote nature of this position, based in Australia, offers flexibility while requiring strong self-management and communication skills to thrive in a distributed team environment. You will be a key facilitator of learning and growth for executives across the globe, embodying HBP's commitment to unlocking the leader in everyone.
