📋 Description

• Lead client engagements end-to-end from kickoff through delivery and closeout using agile, scrum, or hybrid methodologies as required by each project
• Develop detailed project plans aligned to Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates
• Manage scope against SOW by negotiating discrepancies with clients, driving prioritization decisions, and processing change orders cleanly and efficiently
• Track engagement budget and forecast burn rates to avoid overruns while protecting engagement economics and revenue accuracy
• Own internal logistics of client engagements: coordinate time tracking inputs, invoicing, resource alignment with delivery leadership, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
• Maintain PM compliance through regular engagement health updates, weekly status reports, sprint reviews, and systematic risk and issue management
• Accurately identify and differentiate risks from issues, escalating concerns appropriately within the engagement and to NextLink leadership when necessary
• Facilitate backlog creation by ensuring user stories have clear definitions, acceptance criteria, and accurate estimates, and manage delivery flow using Jira reports and team rituals
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for delivery, building trust through consistent communication and managing expectations proactively
• Facilitate difficult client conversations when scope, timeline, or budget deviations arise, maintaining professional relationships while protecting delivery integrity
• Deliver against client business outcomes, not just SOW obligations, and collaborate with Delivery and Sales teams to surface opportunities for relationship expansion
• Provide timely feedback to delivery teams focused on maximizing client value and improving engagement outcomes
• Contribute to the growth of NextLink’s Project Management practice by developing reusable templates, improving processes, and mentoring junior PMs
• Coordinate with engineering teams of 5+ members to ensure seamless delivery alignment and operational efficiency across distributed teams
• Work overlapping hours with US-based clients and internal teams to support real-time collaboration and timely response to client needs
• Maintain high standards of written and verbal English communication to ensure clarity in client reporting, internal coordination, and documentation
• Operate independently as a remote-first contractor with full ownership of multiple concurrent client engagements across diverse technology domains
• Ensure all deliverables meet contractual obligations while fostering long-term client satisfaction and retention

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional project management experience, including at least 3 years in a client-facing Project Manager role
• 2+ years of experience in a consulting or professional services environment
• Experience managing software or technology engagements with delivery teams of 5 or more
• Ability to leverage multiple project management methodologies (agile, scrum, hybrid) to drive the best client experience
• Experience with budget management and forecasting on client engagements, including invoicing coordination, time tracking, and revenue accuracy
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to run multiple concurrent client engagements
